I’m shocked to hear this, shocked.
Germans planned this and probably commanded most of it. It positively rings of Teutonic efficiency.
I’m shocked you dumb bastards are still pretending its somehow damning and controversial.

But , depending on Ivan’s energy to fuel your manufacturing, heat your infrastructure, rings of stupidity. I guess you can be efficient and stupid at the same time.
They conveniently forget how the Soviets gave satellite info to the NVA? (Among many other things.)
Seems like the Germans have always been efficient and stupid at the same time.
“They still haven’t figure out the difference between withdrawal and retreat as Russia continues to carry out it’s targeted areas.”
Some onehas Od’d on the copium.
It's a proxy war between the US and Russia. I don't think the Russians will forget that in the future.

The Germans have not planned a military operation since mid 1945. What makes you think they had a hand in this operation?
If our guys planned this then God bless ‘em.

You could argue truthfully that maneuver warfare developed from German doctrine in WW2, but we’re the primary practitioners of it now.
And Bill Lind was a pretty sharp guy - he came to Quantico once when I was there and had a meet and BS session with Tactics instructors back in the 80’s when we began shifting doctrine.
