I am waiting to see if the Russians start a scorched earth campaign there.

Need to see a map of the region. If Ukrainian forces can put a River between them and the Russians, could be hard for the Russians to counter - especially with winter coming.

You say this:
But being rude and insulting just shows you can’t offer anything more. Sadly your kind is a dime a dozen.

Right after saying this:

“Another diaper filling newbie!”

“YEahhhh hypocrite much?

I doubt they might counter at this time. Late in the year and mud season is around the corner.

And winter means nothing to them. Large and brutal counter offensives were launched by the Russians in WW2 during the winter. It has to freeze first.

They abandoned the Kherson offensive because they were not making enough progress quick enough.
Soviet doctrine was to always reinforce success. Attack on five axes and send reinforcements to those that succeed.

Meanwhile the Russian troops trapped on the wrong side of the river aren't going anywhere. Let them stew for another month or two without supplies.

Right.

crz said that to another diaper-filling newbie [FR Class of 2022].

Hard to have a conversation with rude people who don't bother to read the thread, just out for the insult.

If you can read a map, you will see that the Ukrainian advance is far broader than was Peiper's isolated column. Also, in terms of relative strength, Peiper's column relative to American defenders was a pittance compared to the Ukrianian advance.

But if you want to predict that a massive Russian counterstroke is going to cut off and isolate all those Ukrainian brigades, hey, preach it openly so we can more easily mock you when you're wrong.

Again.

Bread, land and peace is what Russians want. They are lacking in all three.

The Ukies will have to follow The Piano Directive, similar to the Fuhrer Directive.

Defend every bit of land taken, with no retreat.

Tactical victory, strategic blunder, under Zelenskyy Rules.

BTW - it's just over 72 hours since the first FR article was posted on the Kharkov incursion.

I'll be kind and not go back to your very recent Kherson posts and mock you.

You should read Hugh M. Cole's excellent Green Book The Ardennes: Battle of the Bulge

https://history.army.mil/html/books/007/7-8-1/index.html

You can download the PDF for free at the US Army Center of Military History (https://history.army.mil/html/bookshelves/collect/usaww2.html), as you can with all the WWII Green Books.

The Devil Dogs are probably in the Pacific books.

Well they're all in extreme frame of minds - much like the left when you try to discuss differences - there's nothing true unless they say it is.

I think it's quite amusing they're insulting so many posters they lose track of who said what. Evidences clearly their need to calm down.

It’s looked like there are Zelesnky pushers her on FR as they post one article after another of the Ukraine propaganda pieces. They still are caught up in Zelesnky’s media plays. I thought that might change but they’ve gotten deeper into the thicket.

I read all the “Green Books” in high school, almost fifty years ago. And, in subsequent years, about a dozen accounts of the Bulge. I still recommend Toland’s as a single source or starter.

Your example of Peiper is a classic case of an extremely narrow front advance, not typical of the “Bulge”. You can call his command a “splinter” of the main thrust, as it had no flank support nor was anything much following up behind him.

And this Ukrainian advance is way beyond the spatial scale of that of the entire Bulge. Its well into exploitation phase, chasing fleeing enemy forces in five directions.

The dumb mother fucker finally got off his ass and checked it out!

All this time and the worthless little cork sucker flapped his gums.

That’s a guy? I thought that poster was a female, possibly one suffering a heavy dose of PMS.

One thing that led me to surmise that was the breathless, drooling worship for that Zelensky grifter.

One day closer to Russian use of tactical nukes. Don’t think they’re just going to go home, do you.

But you don’t do that so you must yourself be Russian scum or one of their cheerleaders.

I don't know who you think you are, but BenLurkin is one of the nicest people on this site. It would behove you do a little reading around here and get to know people and treat them with respect before mouthing off to good people.
