I would like to ask a liberal exactly what does “sanctuary” mean? You can’t give sanctuary to people you want to exclude. How does that work?

I’ve seen a lot of media stories about how these liberal states don’t want those “immigrants from Texas”.
Which is disgustingly dishonest reporting. They aren’t from Texas.

I am hoping for Abbot and DeSantis to bus them to places like Martha's Vineyard, Kennebunkport, Beverly Hills and others.
The military will be mobilized so fast we will wonder if Mexico has declared war on us.

Maher makes one interesting point - then has some DC political hack talk about “George Bush was a welcoming Republican” and a jazz musician who give us some cheap slogans.
Basically useless.

So love me, love me, love me, I’m a liberal.”

For those NOT from Texas - the papers this morning had a story about some miserable stupid group putting up 6 million dollars to defeat Governor Abbott.
If Austin and Houston keep gaining people, six million will buy a lot of votes. God help us if lose Abbott.

I don’t know what’s going on with Maher these days, he’s starting to make sense.

I keep going back to basic principles when trying to understand the rationale of Texas paying for bus tickets to sanctuary locales (states and cities). So here is my thought:
- Calculate the annual cost, per head, of providing housing, schooling, food, and other welfare
- Determine the cost of a bus ticket, or the cost of chartering a bus to specific locales
- If it costs less for a bus ticket, then do it.
So, for Texas, the state SAVES money in the long run providing a path to the sanctuary locales. It's the economics, stupid.
Which is why Chicago, New York, and Wash-DC are crying so hard. The burden is being shifted onto them. "We believe" but not from their wallets and pocketbooks.
So Biden can fix this: bring back the Trump protocols. (Never happen.)
