Meanwhile, the service is relying on existing contracts to increase production of ammunition, but it hasn’t signed new contracts to account for the higher amounts it will need to replenish its stocks, according to Army officials.

I think that is basically the plan.
Deplete US military supplies and then China invades Taiwan.

Of the all the things I’d worry about, the last thing I worry about is Congress letting the MIC go hungry.

Don’t these munitions create NOX, CO2 or some other Gorebal warning gases?

America is imperiling its own defense capabilities by sending weapons to Ukraine.

The US military is going to need to hold back some weaponry to use against US non-military citizens.

All over a war in Ukraine that has absolutely nothing to do with our national security. We’re now vulnerable to a real threat.

No problem!
Several hundred million rounds are available, spread out over at least 15 federal agencies...
To: Jonty30
Yeah... super obvious at this point.
But US Americans don’t seem to be getting it.

The first thing they bring up is 16 HIMARS? We have 500. The pentagon said we could send 100 without impacting our readiness. What’s more articles have said we have ramped HIMAR production, because we are sending Ukraine newly produced HIMARS instead of sending them out of our inventory.
