Ukraine is unlikely to relent in that US and NATO support continues and a full victory is increasingly possible, with Russia ejected from all occupied territories, including Crimea. Russia will go nuclear should the above become likely.

A use of nuclear weapons would end Russia as an organized society. My guess is that the US and the EU have laid out a peace proposal to Putin's foreign minister, Lavrov, that, among other things, lets Putin and his cronies go into secure foreign exile with a choice of hospitable venues and a slice of their wealth available. With the Russian security services edging away from Putin, his control of the Russian nuclear arsenal is likely now subject to their veto.

Russia wants to end itself forever in nuclear fire rather than leave Ukraine alone?
Are you sure of that?
