I figure the Russians will just leave. They may pull out in an organized manner or the bulk of them will just individually go home.

It remains to be seen what will be left of the Donets militias after the Russian subsidies stop.

No need for ceremonies. Whoever is running things in Moscow wont want any sort of ceremony, for all sorts of reasons, no matter their political position.

No way they just leave. Contrary to the narrative, Putin did not do this as the first step of a revanchist Soviet Union. Ukraine was the last domino to fall, putting the NATO behemoth on his border, 300 miles from Moscow. He was forced to act. The situation is much more dire now for him and Moscow. There is no way Putin will live through a surrender and withdrawal. You must remember, NATO has escalated their proxy war with Russia all the way up to unlimited quantities of their most advanced, destructive conventional weapons. Russia has yet to escalate. Putin will escalate this before he dies. That escalation may very well eventually reach out to touch you and me and everyone we know.
