Russian occupying forces deployed helicopters and weapons in search for deserters near the village of Babenivka Druha, in Kherson Oblast, in order to ensure their return to combat positions.

The enemy was forced to deploy helicopters and weapons in search for deserters and in order to return them to combat positions on the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson Oblast, near the village of Babenivka Druha."
Details: The General Staff also reports that unarmed Russian soldiers are being transported by bus to temporarily occupied Crimea, via Kalanchak checkpoint [in Kherson region].
The Allies also did it in WW2. There are lots of pictures of mass surrenders and POW cages, in Tunisia for instance.
The Russians did it quite a lot in the case of Mariupol.
And, of course, turnabout is fair play.
