Canada's parole board will review its decision to release one of the men now suspected of carrying out a deadly stabbing attack in Saskatchewan.
Parole documents of Myles Sanderson, 32, show he has 59 prior convictions as well as a history of violence.
He was released in February while serving a four-year sentence.
"I want to know the reasons behind the decision," Public Safety Minister Marco Mendicino said. "I'm extremely concerned by what occurred here."
The hunt for Myles Sanderson is in its fourth day following the stabbing attack on Sunday that left 10 people dead and 18 others injured. Ten victims remain in hospital, three of them in critical condition.
The other suspect, his 31-year-old brother Damien Sanderson, was found dead by police on Monday at the James Smith Cree Nation, a close-knit indigenous community in central Saskatchewan. The discovery brought the death toll to 11.
At an emotional news conference on Wednesday, relatives of the victims spoke of the "horror" of the attack that has stunned the country. They were among the first relatives to come forward and speak about their loss.
"We are broken, but we're not defeated," said Mark Arcand, chief of the Saskatoon Tribal Council and brother of Bonnie Goodvoice-Burns. Bonnie, 48, and her son Gregory Burns, 28, were both killed.

Well, that’s less than 60. How were they expected to know he might commit another crime?
Give him a sternly worded letter, give him a ride home.
so 59 is the official number of times the can can be kicked down the road than...
Who was bribed to let this guy out so many times?
Yet Trudeau keeps putting that Tamara Lich, the trucker convoy lady behind bars for “mischief”.
Shows where his priorities lie.
the list is prolly long and distinguished
I don’t know but they need to be investigated for such actions.
I believe the guy has now been captured. Let’s see if they release him this time.
Innocent until proven guilty, they must let him bond out on his word alone. LOL.
Father Flotski: “You’re not a bad boy, Dutch. Killing six children doesn’t make anyone bad.”
He is a ‘first nation’ member. They have special historical injustice rights.
Let’s see if they release him this time.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You could say he has already been released... he is no longer constrained by anything in this world. He is now firmly in the eternal bondage of the next....
I’m sure he’s got it all out of his system now.
Probation?
Lenny Bruce, amiright?
It only takes one bad apple to make people think the whole barrel is rotten.
But the suspect ended up demonstrating that the system is more corrupt and incompetent than a Delaware politician’s family.
Way to go at distracting the populace.
As reported elsewhere on FR, this perp was apprehended on Wednesday afternoon north of Saskatoon and later died in an ambulance on the way to hospital, possibly from a prior wound or a self-inflicted wound shortly before being taken prisoner. He was spotted on the highway in a stolen vehicle, surrounded by numerous police cruisers and forced into a shallow ditch where airbags deployed, and immediately taken into custody. I don’t think the arresting officers were immediately aware that he was seriously wounded, or if so, they were not able to keep him alive very long.
So his reign of terror has ended and now the shoe is presumably on the other foot. He terminated at least twelve lives including his own and seriously injured a dozen others. And that’s the recent body of work, not sure what the longer term body count may have been.
Canada is one of the epicenters of liberal lunacy. The so-called review of the parole board decision to release this insane perp will conclude: “yup, we did the right thing. We’re all such fine do-gooders here. Sorry about the murders though. Guess them’s the breaks.”
Why not just give Myles an award for population control? It’s a judge/court in the Marxist part of Canada, Jim!
There goes the kitchen utensils
