Billionaire Mark Cuban had harsh words for progressive Sen. Elizabeth Warren and her calls to tax the rich during an appearance at Vox Media’s Code Conference.
Cuban, who has an estimated personal fortune of $4.6 billion, laid into Warren (D-Mass.) over her frequent calls for higher taxes on him, Elon Musk and other wealthy Americans. The liberal lawmaker has long argued that billionaires don’t pay their fair share in taxes.
“I don’t mind being taxed more. I wrote a blog 20 years ago saying it’s the most patriotic thing you can do, after military service, is pay your taxes, because that’s what allows everybody to live and to prospect,” Cuban said when asked about the Democrat-led push for tax hikes.
“But yeah, the idea of ‘soak the rich,’ billionaire tears that fill that cup — screw you, Elizabeth Warren. You’re everything that’s wrong with politics,” Cuban added.

Cuban previously ripped Warren during an October 2021 appearance on Fox Business Network while discussing calls by some Democrats for a new tax for unrealized gains on investments. The “Shark Tank” star and owner of the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks described the proposal as a “disaster.”
“I don’t think Elizabeth Warren knows at all what she’s talking about when she deals with this,” Cuban said at the time. “I think she just likes to demonize people that are wealthy and that’s fine.”
“It’s a great political move for her, but I just don’t think that they really understand the implications of taxing unrealized gains,” he continued.

Winner! Winner! Winner! :-)
Cuban is a bleeding heart Liberal, right up until it hits him in the wallet.
“Grey Beaver not know what she speaks.”
I saw what you did there! ROFL
Mark, these are your people. Lol
Cry me a river.
I don’t consider either of these people patriots so to hell with both of them.
GTH, Cuban
Ewwwwwww! 😵😷
Yeah but he’ll still vote Democrat
Term limits and no lifetime benefits. You’re in, you’re out, now learn to code.
classic enemy of my enemy is my friend situation
I have a feeling that unrealized gains will provide lower taxes going forward. Land is losing value. Assets are dropping. Billionaires may revert to just being millionaires.
In a just world Mark Cuban would be forced to screw Elizabeth Warren.
(I’m off to wash my mind’s eye now)
For example, your house payment was $1,500 a month and you finally paid off your house. The $1,500 you are no longer paying is now considered to be income for you and you'll pay taxes on an extra $18,000 a year.
Another fly in the ointment:
WHO is deciding how much “IMPUTED VALUE”is assigned to any property???
Nothing but kabuki theater.
How many pages are in the tax code? 70,000 or more?
Until they take away l the carveouts that are in there, that we’re out there to help their rich friends, nothing Warren and her ilk say is relevant.
Warren, every time she opens her mouth, shows she doesn’t have a clue about the basics, let alone a behemoth tax code.
