Republican campaign signs are being stolen in broad daylight in Pennsylvania.
A video posted by the Media Borough Republican Party shows a person getting out of their car and picking up two Dr. Oz campaign signs.
They then run back to the car and speed off.

According to Fox 43, stealing election signs is considered a third-degree misdemeanor in Pennsylvania.
It carries a fine of up to $2,500 and/or up to one year in jail.
Just put a “Monkey Pox” sign next to the campaign sign.

Whereas I agree with you on the need to stop the thefts, it is illegal to put up traps in most states. Might want to be careful there. About all you can legally do is build a fence on the perimeter and if they crash that it becomes reckless driving.

I have an Oz sign and a Mastriano sign on my front lawn. I totally expect them to be stolen.

Buy a $30 security camera from Walmart. I can see front of my house from anywhere in house on my phone. The camera records video when any motion is sensed. my camera model runs on house electricity, no batteries to replace.

Somewhere on the net there's a video of a guy who hooked a cattle electric fencer to his sign. Great videos ! Little bit of a shocking surprise.

NH lawmakers have made this a serious crime. May all states follow their lead.
I've seen videos where signs were wired, delivering a shock to the thwarted thieves.
Those fence chargers run $50 and come in 12VDC or 120VAC. They put out 2,000 volts in milliamps.. Most municipality or state laws require a danger sign be posted, which I guess you could attach to the political signage. They hurt. I used to buy the low impedence brush burners for $100 each. I fenced about 80 acres of pasture with them. A little one would take about an hour to rig up properly and about $20 in insulated HV wire on the ground to the sign frame and a good ground rod wire around the sign in the dirt.
You could get sued for shocking someone as a booby-trap. I remember the farmer who reinforced his mailbox as to thwart the baseball bats knocking them down by teenagers. A bunch of kids were blowing them up with M-80 firecrackers one night and because he reinforced his mailbox the blast came back out at the kids and the shrapnel cut one’s artery in his neck. He bled out in five minutes. The farmer was sued for millions and the jury found him at fault for modifying his mailbox to be dangerous. Cost him everything.
