Former Trump Attorney General Bill Barr said Tuesday on FNC’s “The Story” that a federal judge agreeing to a special master in the Trump Mar-a-Lago FBI raid saga was “wrong” and would be overturned if the Department of Justice appeals.
Barr said, “The opinion, I think, was wrong, and I think the government should appeal that. It was deeply flawed in a number of ways. I don’t think the appointment of a special master is going to hold up. Even if it does, I don’t see it fundamentally changing the trajectory. In other words, I don’t think it changes the ball game as and so much as we will have a rain delay for a couple of innings

I imagine that a sewer rat would have more loyalty to its fellows than Barr has for Trump and for Barr’s former colleagues in the Trump administration.
Barr just wants money in his bed.
I think Bill Barr is a bright, principled, high-integrity fellow who cares deeply about protecting these important institutions. I am a fan.
But I cannot for the life of me understand why he has picked this tiniest and muddiest of hills to die on.
What no one is yet talking about is the crisis this will all make of the race for the Republican nomination in 2023. Barr talks of the DOJ appeal taking months. Turley talks of the DOJ first indicting littler fish in hopes the turn on Trump.
Well, if Trump is not indicted before 2023 Q3, then I imagine that the entire Republican race for the nomination is a total sh*t storm through all of 2023. Other candidates who might defer to Trump face a real dilemma and are effectively paralyzed by this. Do they enter or wait?
Mike Pence and other anti-Trumpers are in nearly as tricky positions.
Of course the lefties in The DOJ have every incentive to drag this out, even into 2024. Part of the agenda is to screw over the entire Republican race for the nomination.

Guy was a pusillanimous Bush a—hole to begin with, and he has never changed. Typical shyster, he couldn’t care less about right and wrong.
Barr hasn’t been right about anything.
Wonder what they have on Judas Barr? Do a lot of those Russia-gate documents have incriminating info on Judas?
The DOJ will only appeal the decision if they can shop for a Judge that’s in their back pocket.
This guy has deepstate nano bots running through his blood. If only Trump had appointed someone like his buddy Rudy.
Barr just proved he is not much of a lawyer either. If anything is overturned on appeal it will probably be the insanely broad search warrant. A good chunk of the stuff taken - Trump’s medical records and his passport had no relevance to the alleged crime. It was simply part of a fishing expedition. Another chunk will be found to be covered by executive privilege and no Biden cannot remove that privilege from his predecessor and he will be glad he can’t when Trump prosecutes him in 2025.
The FBI has said they have already reviewed the large majority of the documents presummably including ones that will be found to be privileged. Can they unsee what they have already seen? No of course not therefore the entire investigation is now tainted, fruit of the poison tree.
Anyway the “investigation” was all just cover for the real reason for the raid. They believe Trump has copies of documents that will prove incriminating for the FBI, documents he declassified shortly before he left office and which the agency slow walked and never released. FBI Director Wray can’t sleep at night until he knows those documents or copies of them are not in Trump’s hands.
If Bill Bar had done his job we wouldn’t have had two impeachments or crooked Joe Biden in the White House.
Since he is so gung ho, why didn't he go after obama and hillary?

The Senate under Paul Ryan would never have confirmed that appointment. The President is not all-powerful unless 1) his party is in the decisive majority in both houses of Congress and the SCOTUS, 2) he was preceded by an ally, and 3) his party is with him.
Trump had the RINOs and NeverTrumpers plus the Democrats and Deep State against him. What's amazing is how much he got done anyway.
Trump was surrounded by sharks.
