If your website is optimized, you don’t need a CDN. All of my sites score over 90 in google’s pagespeed or gtmetrix speed and optimization tests.

Any good web host can handle a DDoS attack.

I am starting to wonder if folks are brainwashed into the idea that these 3rd party services are required when they are not at all.

That has been tried many times before. This is not a social platform, it is a private website, and has it's own servers.
In the past 2 decades, there were websites that were created specifically to take down this website; they were unsuccessful (including the DDOS attacks).

Of course l are many troll and malcontents here that would be better off, and more in their safe space, at DU...
