MSNBC host Joy Reid said Monday on her show “The ReidOut” that Republicans are upset because President Joe Biden “named” their fascism.
Reid said, “The former president was also in the Keystone state this holiday weekend, speaking at a rally for Pennsylvania’s MAGA Republican candidate for governor, Doug Mastriano, and Senate candidate Dr. Mehmet Oz. Trump basically went full fascist, denouncing the FBI as vicious monsters despite recent actual attempts by his fans to attack federal law enforcement and calling President Biden an enemy of the state. In his Philadelphia speech, the most divisive speech ever delivered by an American president. Pretty rich coming from Donald Trump.”

Useful Idiot says what, now?
cancel her
She sure is an uppity one.
When the FIBs lie to the FISA court 4 times, edit 302s to fit their narrative, doctor evidence, and agree to spy on a Presidential candidate at the behest of Soetoro and Mufti Brennan, that’s just stating facts, not “attacking” the FIBs.
Republicans I know ignore the crazy old man. And MSNBC.
Just another Comcast whore spewing Comcast’s hatred for America.
FU, Comcast.
Just like “racist”, “fascist” has become just a bad name that Lefts calls anyone they don’t like. Its real meaning is lost on them.
The words fascism and fascist have long been associated with the Fascisti of Benito Mussolini and the fasces, the bundle of rods with an ax among them, which the Fascisti used as a symbol of the Italian people united and obedient to the single authority of the state.
Oddly enough, that doesn't sound like us.
Fascist Trump is nonsense of course.
But listen to Biden. He claims Trump is a Nationalist. That’s apparently a bad thing because Hitler was a Nationalist. So standing up and fighting for your country is inherently a bad thing. Can’t be like Hitler. That’s just too, too Fascist.
And who can argue that Trump is a strong leader who draws huge crowds to his “divisive” speeches. Just like Hitler. Just like Mussolini.
That cinches it: A strong man who thinks about his own country first. That’s the very definition (these days) of Fascism. Look it up. The Nazis were socialists. Mussolini was a socialist but now all the Fascists are from the Hard Core Right. History rewritten right in front of your eyes.
There is no way that America can become fascist. We are not ethnically homogenous. We do not mostly make our living from the land. We are therefore not a "Blood and Soil" country.
We may become authoritarian or totalitarian, but it will most likely be based on some ideology. If we are doomed to become an authoritarian or totalitarian nation/empire then it will probably be best if it is some form of Christian theocracy, but it will most likely be some weird quasi-scientific utilitarianism.
Fascism and Nazism are two different things. Fascism doesn't have a racial component to it. It is merely the merging of Government and Business.
Republicans are upset because President Joe Biden “named” their fascism.
And yet, democrats are NOT upset when their communism
is named...
If you look up the Fascism Wiki, you can read how it is the Freepers and the like that are the Fascists. Pretty universal view in the history books I’m afraid. But it is nonsense nevertheless. They want you to believe the National Socialist Workers Party were not socialists. Ditto with Mussolini.
Don’t buy it.

I always have to laugh, when they show the speakers
podium of the House, there are fascines on the back wall.
Right. It’s interesting how the meaning of words shifts.
Yep.
I am absolutely convinced that anybody who regularly uses the word facism has not a single clue about its actual definition
