They were incompetent. Amb. Stevens was in Libya prepping for a Hillary victory lap for deposing Khaddafi. Ironically, it was Khaddafi loyalists who got the American’s out. Sarah told me a story about the plane full of troops that were sent at the end of the attacks. The troops were instructed several times during their flight to Libya to get in/out of uniform a 1/2 dozen times. They were concerned with the optics of an invasion if they wore their uniforms.
