TOMORROW: Primary in Massachusetts

Posted on 09/05/2022 5:38:36 AM PDT by cotton1706

Prepare to vote!

Trump endorsed Geoff Diehl for governor.

TOPICS: Constitution/Conservatism; Politics/Elections; US: Massachusetts
KEYWORDS: elections
Finally my state has its primary!

I'm voting for Trump-endorsed Geoff Diehl for governor and Leah Cole Allen for Lieutenant Governor.

I'm also writing in Steve Tougas for state rep in my local district. He told me the signature-raising company he hired was fraudulent so he didn't make the primary ballot. If 150 people write him in in the primary, he'll be on the ballot in November.

Yes,I'll be there. But I'm not nearly delusional enough to expect Virginia 2.0 in November here in the Gay State.

Trump endorsed Geoff Diehl for governor.

Would that be, in the words of SloJoe, a big [procreational expletive] Diehl?

Only moderate Repubs win here—Weld, Brown, Romney, Baker. Whether Doughty or Diehl, can the GOP nominee beat Maura Healey?
Diehl was a Dem for years and voted for Biden (08) and Tom Reilly (06) in primaries but supposedly supported GOP in final.
(”Geoff Diehl first won his seat in the Massachusetts House of Representatives in 2010. He ran as a Republican, although he was a Democratic voter from 1996-2008. He’s since been a staunch Republican; he co-chaired Donald Trump’s state campaign in the 2016 presidential race.”—Ballotpedia)

Diehl “Tank the Gas Tax”, supported Trump.
Lost to Warren in US Senate race.
Influential Howie Carr supported Diehl in past but now says Doughty has a better chance of beating Healey.

2014 Baker beat Martha Coakley
2018 Baker beat Jay Gonzales
2022...???

Diehl ran a terrible campaign against the Fake Indian - he has zero chance of beating Healy

Try to get ballot images so you can conduct your own count/audit.

When they deny you, like they did Dinesh, then you’ll know the fix is in

“My rep is campaigning for Doughty...I’m pretty sure it doesn’t matter how I vote, the lesbian will win :(”

I really don’t care at this point. Charlie Baker was just as liberal/progressive as any Democrat.

If the remaining Republican electorate keeps voting for conservative candidates and only conservative candidates and doesn’t fall for the annual “only the moderate will win, so vote for the moderate” rhetoric, it will frustrate the liberals and moderates to no end. We’re already seeing it in Vermont and Connecticut as the Republican electorate rejected the moderate candidates for US Senate in favor of the conservatives. They’re pulling their hair out. And next week in New Hampshire the Republican electorate will likely nominate Bolduc over the Establishment candidate. And with Paul LePage and Geoff Diehl nominated in Maine and Mass respectively, conservatives will be at the top of the ticket, not their worthless go-along pantywaist types. Rhode Island is having its primary next week too, but I haven’t followed any of those races to see if there are any conservatives who could remove some moderate Republicans.

But the point is, imagine the Bill Weld types’ frustration when seeing who the New England states collectively nominated for Governor and US Senator. The Sununu and Baker types are on their way out!

Howie Carr:”According to state campaign-finance records, Diehl this morning has less than $17,000 cash on hand. Maura Healey has $5.3 million.”

I guess there was a Diehl-Doughty debate on Howie’s show once but since then Geoff has ducked many debate invites.
Carr:”Doughty admits to voting for Hillary Clinton in 2016. We all make mistakes. Geoff Diehl is a former Democrat, and he voted in his party’s presidential primary in 2008. He claims his candidate was Joe Biden – that’s right, Brandon! But the fact is, at that point, Biden was already out of the race. The only two viable candidates left (in more ways than one) were Barack Obama and… Hillary Clinton.”

How can a thinking person vote for either of these guys?

I will vote for the Write In candidate Dashe Vidiera for Governors Councilor. I have no idea if this person is a man or a woman. I do not know he/she looks like nor have I seen any campaign material.

Still, it is a matter of principle. There may be other R candidates on my local ballot but that seems doubtful.

I simply cannot believe that candidates who voted for Hillary and/or Biden in the last 20 years are vying for the Republican Governor nod. This state is truly lost. I hope that I can sell soon and get out of this joint.

As a lifelong resident (except for my time in the Armed Forces) I can assure Freepers that this state isn't just on the way down the toilet....it's all the way down and is fulminating in the septic tank.

Don't know if your screen name indicates that you are,in fact, female. But in case you are I'll just remind you of a question that was once put to her: "what advice do you have for women and girls who don't like the idea of seeing males in the ladies' room?"

Her response? "Hold it".

That is the response one would only get from a *thoroughly* depraved and amoral person.

King Charles has not been any different than Cuomo...killed the vets and seniors in nursing homes, put countless businesses out of business and caved/s to the teachers union every time. I like to pretend it has been better than it would have been if a dim was in office...I mean, he’s not Whitlessmer or Nuisance :~{

How dare you assume my gender!!! JK :)
Yes, I am aware of the "hold it" comment. She is just another lefty fronthole - to use "their" new language they have created to describe anatomical features. While I pray for our leaders to find God, I can't stop myself from also praying Psalm 109:8.
