That "hundreds of millions" claim did not ring true to me, either. I believe Trump's father was a successful businessman, but I don't think he had anywhere near that much money. And, as others have pointed out, Trump did not just sit on his inheritance - or loan, or whatever it was - but put it to work and expanded it many times over.

You are correct. But, he didn’t just pay back the Million. He paid it back with Interest. The going bank interest rate for such a loan sum at the time.
