The Fed must raise interest rates at least twice as high as they are now if they want to get inflation under control.

I predict the rate in August will be slightly down from July. The USG uses July, August, and September to compute the SS COLA for 2023. It seems there is always a dip in inflation during the 3rd Quarter. By design?

I would not be surprised if Pence has a plan to step in as Speaker of the House if Rs take over the House as projected.

Many assume Kevin McCarthy will step up, but Hero Pence prevented the so-called Insurrection on Jan. 6th and went ahead and certified all the bogus states’ election results.

Like it is assumed that if Biden goes bye-bye then someone other than Kamala will step up. Barry wants his First “Lady” to step in. Wouldn’t that be a revoltin’ development?

If you don’t raise rates, inflation will continue. Inflation is far more damaging than a recession. The Fed is so politicized that Powell may delay or reduce rate hikes until after the elections. Keep the stock market artificially high.

The biggest story last week covered extensively in Europe was the controversial G-7 cap on Russian gas and oil. It could spark huge increases in prices if the Russian cut back production.
