After Marine veteran Lloyd Muldrow stopped an attack by an armed assailant at a Baltimore bar, police officers thanked him — and then they arrested him.
Now the Good Samaritan credited with saving a man’s life faces up to a year in prison, charged with violating a city ordinance that forbids bringing handguns within 100 feet of a public building, even though he neutralized the attack without drawing his pistol.

Agree.
Intervening in something not involving him personally at risk. He should have walked on down the street, he would be home tonight...
CCW is for you and your family.
Smells like violation of rights under color of law, since the SCOTUS Bruen decision, a few months ago. Title 18.242. And if more than one gov type is involved, conspiracy to commit same, title 18.241.
Looks like the perfect case to challenge that stupid law, and others like it, on Constitutional grounds.
Entirely BS
I know that this is Baltimore, and not Washington, DC - but watching the legal hijinks over the past few years, I would not want any kind of trial in Washington, DC (jury or judge). The people in that town worship the Big State as their god, and if any government official tells them that someone did something that threatens their idol, they will find him guilty. No matter what.
Washington DC, is a different planet with a people who operate antithetical to our Constitution and God's Word.
Hopefully Baltimore is better - for this guy's sake.
Tes indeed...
Here, behind enemy lines in MD, this is pretty much an expected result...
Was this bar in a building owned by the government? Within 100 feet of one? The ordinance calls out “public building”. A “public building” is not the same as a “public place”.
At the very minimum they will make sure hes a felon si he can never own a gun again.
Oh really? Sounds like some MAGA gun toting racist vigilante trying to stop a guy taking the initiative to redress a long standing inequity and self-adminster his right to reparations.
Fr’kn justice is going totally wrong in America!
Ranks of new Peter Strozks have to come from somewhere?
“This wasn’t a federal case.”
I’m not a lawyer but if it is a violation of the 2nd amendment rights doesn’t that make it a federal case?
It would be up to the federal courts, including SCOTUS to rule on such a case, so in that sense, yes. But the President cannot pardon state or local crimes.
Enforce the laws already on the books?
Maybe you should break FR tradition and read the article. He didn’t use or touch his firearm.
Oh ok. I get it. Guess we have to wait and see what the rino gov does. Ugh. Sickening stuff.
Just more from our friendly jack booted thugs in blue.
Stay out of blue states and don’t volunteer information.
They may use the Ton Ton Macoute strategy..
