The German government will support the Ukrainian war effort for “as long as they need us” and no matter what public opinion of voters is on the issue, Germany’s foreign minister said on Wednesday.
Appearing at the Forum 2000 conference in Prague, Annalena Baerbock of the Green Party, Minister of Foreign Affairs in the ‘traffic light’ coalition government of Olaf Scholz, said that Germany will press on with supporting Ukraine’s struggle supporting sanctions against Russia for years if necessary.

And there you have it ladies and gentlemen: "Western" "Democracy"
Amazing how in spite of a position of economic, social, and cultural weakness, East Germany absorbed West Germany.
LOL, just like in Goodbye, Lenin!

If they are going to follow Trump and dump Russia for energy, they also need to increase their military readiness against Russia, as he wanted.
Annalena Baerbock won’t last another 3 months.
Nor will the existing government.
Many Ukrainians were guards at the Death Camps.
How many nuclear weapons does Germany have?
And how much natural gas and oil?
Russia ha 6000 super powerful nuclear weapons. Germany is not in a position to take on Russia, after very low defense spending for decades.
Gee that sounds like the Kaiser giving carte blanche to Austria-Hungary during the latter’s ultimatium to Serbia.
Ahhh yes! Der Fuhrer will decide vat is best! Just like the good old days!
Fuehrer befiehl wir folgen!

You are exactly right. I wish others would see this as clearly as you do. There may be a silver lining, however. This sort of arrogant intransigence is likely to create a social crisis throughout the EU that will cause those governments to fall. Draghi has bailed in Italy because he, as former head of the ECB, knows what’s coming, and Johnson is out as soon as a replacement is selected. Scholz is probably next, which means that Habeck, Lauterbach, Baerbach, and the rest of the clown posse will be gone. In a deep, dark, cold winter energy and economic crisis the fall of many other governments may follow. It should also complete the job of thoroughly discrediting the government of El Presidente Benito Biden. This may be our best shot at breaking the grip the WEF and the Neocons have on Western governments.

Annalena Baerbock of the Green Party won’t be sitting in a cold house - and he sure as hell won’t be missing any meals.
That’s why ‘elites’ like him can ignore the pain and suffering their people will feel - THEY WON’T SUFFER ALONG WITH THE LITTLE PEOPLE.
This current energy crisis was created by idiot greenies who don’t understand everything has an energy signature... and all componetns need to be looked at and weighed - green energy doesn’t ‘make economical sense’ unless it’s backed up with delusions, denials, and state incentives.
One, two, three!!!
Putin did not expect this.
———
Putin planned this when NATO / West started moving into Ukraine back in 2014. China/ Russia/ India alliance will prevail with this current administration. But regardless, Vlad holds all the cards and there is nothing the West can do, except “ react”.
This needs to stop now. Ukraine are not blameless angels in this. And certainly not the Russians. Even if they were, Russia has them beat. The only thing that remains is the final body count. Which I would guess is about 45,000 based on multiple sources.
Does Germany’s support for Ukraine entail the giving of billions of dollars like what the US does, or is it just Oktoberfest boasting?
I read or heard on the news that all the large euro countries have given a billion or two. Nothing like the US as usual.
They contributed a pittance (as I assumed).
Cheap bastards.
Probably still boasting about their generosity.
