Don-don Kadyrov says he wants to step down. Interesting change of tone from even a few days ago, when his Tik-tok Warriors were allegedly going to march all the way to Europe. Maybe he decided he doesn't want to get invited to Putin's tea parties anymore?
Mmm wonder why the sudden change? Many Kadyrovites dying in Ukraine?
Kadyrov is known for his bolshy rhetoric and wild claims of Chechen strength. His troops have been called on by Russia to assist in the war.
He has previously claimed that he and his army are ready to take on the West toe-to-toe and "easily take Kyiv and the NATO countries".
Kadyrov lost 2 batallions in Severodonetsk.
And his enforcers deployed at the Kherson region bridges on the Dnieper have been mostly liquidated by the HIMAR strikes over the past month.
I suspect soon he will be allied with Turkey as they begin to build the new Ottoman Empire, as Russia’s position weakens.
His goldie AK thing is gauche, but the collection of traditional Caucasian weapons behind him is very cool. Kinjals?
So, he is not ALL bad.
Sounds like Kadyrov is being threatened from both flanks. His buddy, Putin, on one flank and some other Muslim Chechen terrorist who wants his job on the other flank. He has decided to take a pass on the 72 virgins in favor of spending a few more years on this planet looking for 1 virgin he might be able to get lucky with.
How many people in a Chechen batallion?
Standard Russian Infantry Battalion varies between ~460 & ~540, depending on the type. Front line troops (trigger pullers) are never more than 50%, and usually only 40% of those numbers.
