Ukraine Suffers Massive Losses as Kherson Offensive Stalls and Russia Counterattacks
youtube ^

Posted on 09/03/2022 3:56:35 AM PDT by ganeemead

Possibly 8K - 10K casualties

Mercouris reporting massive damage to ukie forces involved in the show counteroffensive. Russians apparently using Mongol tactics, retreating to lure ukies into traps and then annihilating them with artillery. One particular "mountain brigade" totally annihilated, home region holding "day of mourning"...

US and UK forcing those people into this **** is beyond criminal, more like sinful, sooner or later God is going to get pissed off over it. The only ratioinal thing anybody in Ukraine could think of doing at this point is surrender, they're fighting way out of their weight division.

Seems like the death count is about 3,000+ and injured est at double or triple …avg about 1,000 per day
Ukes taking a pounding in Kharkov, too

The Ukes are still pushing men and equipment to the front
Zelensky is running the show and demands a victory, even a symbolic one, before the next meeting of his donors, next week

I have been following Alexander Mercouris almost daily discussions for a couple weeks. His apparent methodology is reading the daily BBC (UK Military Ministry) daily briefs, compares them with the Russian Military of Defense daily briefs, looks at person maps, compares the two foregoing daily briefs with “Fake News” and Ukrainian propaganda and then consults personal sources.

It’s evil to keep pushing this. Zelensky must hate his countrymen.

This war is likely to be over soon, based on the reports that Putin’s health is bad he will be dead soon, Russia will have no choice but to pack up and go home. /sarc

It's very, very difficult to imagine Russia losing this war of attrition.

“It’s evil to keep pushing this. Zelensky must hate his countrymen.”

Russia seized about twenty to twenty-five percent of Ukraine. Suppose Russia had taken California, Washington, Nevada and New Mexico. Now suppose that means the United States loses all access to the Pacific (and to make the comparison fair) the Atlantic. (Because Russia will cut off all Ukraine’s access to the world by sea.) This means that even if Ukraine negotiated a settlement on land hostilities that they will never be able to export as much across their remaining land routes as they can by sea. If Ukraine loses this war, it will be impoverished, not just now but forever. If Ukraine doesn’t fight and end this now, then Russia will regain its strength and simply walk in and take the rest at their leisure later. For Ukraine, they must win now or die.

From our perspective half a world and two oceans away, this is nothing. The area, compared to the United States, is nothing. No big deal...to us. But try to imagine you live in Ukraine and you remember what it was like living under the Russians. An equivalent might be, you’re living in 1920’s New York as a shopkeeper. Every week a couple of mob soldiers come in and take your profits.

UKRAINE DOES DAMAGE CONTROL AS COUNTER ATTACK FALTERS

2 September 2022 by Larry Johnson
https://sonar21.com/ukraine-does-damage-control-as-counter-attack-falters/

The Ukrainian offensive near Kherson in the south and Kharkiv in the north is failing. That explains why Ukrainian President Zelensky imposed restrictions the other day on what news western correspondents could report from the front. In fact, many of these reporters were pulled from the front lines. Do you think Ukraine would do that if they were pounding the hell out of the Russians and forcing the Russians to retreat? No. The west would be flooded with videos of triumphant Ukrainian troops celebrating victory.

Instead of celebrations, there are videos surfacing showing Ukrainian losses in the aftermath of their failed attempt to capture the Zaporhyzhia Nuclear Power Plant (aka NPP).

At least it’s Ukrainian boys for DC cannon fodder and not American boys, yet.

I have a simpler analogy. Imagine two Mexican drug cartels shooting it out in the middle of a forest. Don’t care really about either one. Not choosing a side in a battle between criminal organizations.

What is ridiculous is pretending that Ukrainians want to live under the tyranny of Russia.

” Don’t care really about either one. “

We should care. One of them has nuclear weapons and has been threatening the West for seventy years. This is an opportunity to end Russia’s ability to threaten the West for decades, if not forever. Ukraine is willing to take our weapons and do the hard work. As long as they are willing to do that it doesn’t need to be done by any of the West. (Cynical, I know.) Russia has presented the West with the ideal circumstances to lower the threat the Russians pose. If we don’t take it, then the threat only increases from what it was.

reading the daily BBC (UK Military Ministry) daily briefs, compares them with the Russian Military of Defense daily brief ... Ukrainian propaganda

So BBC (UK Military Ministry) & Russian Military of Defense are legitimate sources while information from Ukraine is propaganda and fake news?

My understanding is that the Ukes first attacks failed because they lead with their tanks.

russian artillery just destroyed the tanks.

then the ukes brought in some US weapons that took out russian radar.

that radar has stopped that baraktar drones from doing their work.

With the radar knocked out the barktars can go back to work.

they’re now taking out the artillery in detail in portions of the russian front lines.

with the artillery out of commission —then the ukes can advance without taking hideous casualties.

they should refine this still further and use the small hand held drones to take out the russian troops in detail.

so it becomes a completely stand off war.

the ukes also minimize their casualties

We should care.

What should be higher on everyone's list is how, why and who brought us to this predicament. This whole thing was un-necessary, except for the greed of a few rich, greedy men. Every single person/group on both sides of this conflict that got us here today is still in a position of power, and still grifting money from the public coffers, All the while people die, capitol is destroyed and people all across the globe are kept divided.
