Unions (public and private) are primarily socialistic/fascist entities. Initially sold as representing the workers, they quickly morph into a money source for the leadership and other socialist/fascist entities which don’t have a clue how to create wealth, but are expert in taking over and looting the wealth of others (the productive).
These are very good points. Randi herself is only the face of the problem; the real problem is the unions themselves. Virtually all of the unions reacted the same way, demanding more and more restrictions as a way of holding the rest of us hostage.
