The incident was captured on camera by a number of Belgorod locals, according to Ukrainian military sources
Videos circulating online show the moment the dramatic failure of a Russian air defence missile launch. The fired missile dropped and exploded because it couldn’t accelerate in time.
According to Ukrainian military officials, the Russian army launched six S-300 air defence missiles on Wednesday night in the direction of Kharkiv in northeastern Ukraine. One of the missiles, however, veered off course and struck a neighbourhood in the Russian city of Belgorod, which is close to the Ukrainian border.
On Twitter and Youtube, multiple users share some videos that appeared to show the unsuccessful launch that “the guiding system suffered a major failure.”

Video footage of an extremely unsuccessful launch of a S-300 missile has appeared on the Web, which fell just a few kilometers from its launch site, causing a massive explosion. The flash from the explosion was so strong that it could be observed from a distance of several kilometers.
On the presented video footage taken by local residents, one can see how, during the mass launch of S-300 air defence missiles, one of the missiles failed to start the engine after the moment of launch, as a result of which, without gaining altitude, it flew in a horizontal plane and, falling through several kilometers, exploded with the strongest flash. According to preliminary data, the failure of the rocket stabilizer could also be to blame, however, no details on this matter have yet been announced.
Apparently, the rocket fell either on the outskirts of the city, or in its immediate vicinity, however, there are no details on this. In a 19-second clip, the missile can be seen moving forward at one point, before veering off-course and eventually falling to the ground, creating an explosion.
The Exact place where the rocket hit is still unknown, but local Telegram channels suggested that it fell in the area of the village of Komsomolske, southwest of Belgorod. This is NOT THE FIRST TIME RUSSIAN MILITARY EQUIPMENT MALFUNCTIONED.
A video that circulated on social media in June shows the moment a Russian air defense system malfunctioned and the missile appeared to turn back towards the point where it was fired from.
The air defense missile launched from the city of Alchevsk in Ukraine’s Luhansk region, changed trajectory after launch, and struck near to the system itself.

Must have locked onto it’s own tracking RADAR signal......................😜
Don't let Bubba Clinton know - he'll send guidance and rocketry experts to the russkies to correct thing like he did the chicoms in '96 (and got huge campaign "contributions").
Short round!
Oh, but Russia’s winning the war according to the Putinistas on this site. That funding for the oligarchs’ superyachts had to come from somewhere, why not from the Russian military?
Or some one’s else from afar?.
Looks like it tried to be a cruise missile (horizontal flight while the other missiles launched were nearer vertical) but it didn’t work out too well.
My understanding is that ground to air missiles can be used ground to ground, but they are not effective in that application.
Or close by.....................

Over night the Ukrainian military, from positions in Vyshetarasovka, Nikopol and Marganets, again shelled the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant on the south side of the Kakhovka Dnieper reservoir.
This was fallowed by an early morning attempt by Ukrainian forces to land a sabotage group near the village north east of the ZNPP. Some seven boats, two self-motorized barges and some 60 soldiers were involved in the suicidal mission.
The paramilitary Russian National Guard (Rosgvardiya) which protects the plant immediately detected the insertion and attacked it. The Russian army send Ka-52 attack helicopters to help destroy the Ukrainian force. The two barges were sunk.

Dima of the Military Summary Channel thinks (vid) that the Ukrainian saboteur group was tasked with laying low until the inspectors arrive. It would then take over the plant and prevent the IAEA inspectors from leaving. They would then be hostages at the plant which would guarantee that the Russian side would be unable to retake the site.
If that really was the plan it was one of the craziest I ever heard off. Then again - the Ukrainian Zelenski regime is crazy and he and his advisors are former movie producers who are trained to come up with such plots.
You’ll get that.

they are throwing away tracking and guidance packages by using very expensive SAM missiles as artillery
there is something very wrong with this picture...
Well, you’re brave to come out on a conservative forum!
Especially, given you revealed you’re into gay Russians!

Your ministry changed their story and now says it was 360, during daylight
You can't even bother to keep up with the lies your "ministry" tells.
Oh, and here is the 'political officer' from Rosatom, explaining how a missile changes direction when it hits the ground and could not have possible come from the direction it was fired from.
Indeed wasn’t the first time nor last.
