Friday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Washington Post columnist Eugene Robinson heralded President Joe Biden’s speech in Philadelphia the night earlier as an “urgent wartime address.”
According to Robinson, it was “significant” that Biden called out his predecessor and “MAGA Republicans.
“The speech last night to me sounded like a president delivering a wartime address,” he said. “And indeed, Joe Biden sees this as a battle for the soul of our country. It’s a battle for the preservation of our democracy. To me, the significant thing was, yes, he called out Donald Trump — but he also called out the MAGA Republicans, the MAGA Republican officials and followers, who, for whatever motive, under whatever delusion, are going down this authoritarian path, this undemocratic path and trying to take the nation with them. And he framed this as an emergency, as something that we as a nation need to bond together and to stop, to reverse and to return to our democratic principles and our democratic practices, and to me, it was an urgent wartime address.”

He means, of course, that Biden declared Civil War?
Is that what he did? If this is a ‘wartime’ address, then the war we are talking about would be necessarily a civil war.

I’m starting to believe they really ARE trying to provoke “civil war” type actions, so they can send in their troops and put an end to that, and take the option off the table.
Look at the facts: they control the mass media, the social media (even Trumps is dependend on Google and Apple to distribute the app to allow access), they have the military brass and the deep state on their side, and that’s where the firepower is.
They’re not like the British colonial masters, they’re prepared and have the power, even to rig elections when needed. We’re screwed.

So, then they admit they have declared war on the right. Guess they’re getting their F-15s battle ready. Won’t that warm the lefts’ hearts seeing aircraft strafing and bombing civilians? All in the name of unity, peace and democracy.
This reminds me a lot of the Ukraine-Russia situation where the Democrats keep antagonizing and poking an opponent until they fight back. Then act shocked and outraged when their actions have brought about reactions.
Yes, this is all a setup, and they can't wait for the violence to start.

All of that sounds to me like a justification for Democrats to engage in street violence/repression against Republicans. Because after all, it’s now a war for the future of the country, and Biden didn’t mince words about how the leftists view what is at stake.
Democracy means mob rules, they want a process in which large population centers dictate policy for every American through federal monopolization of power. Repulicans advocate a representative Republic, in which states hold most of the power to determine the lives of their citizens and where federal elections are determined by electors, not raw majority.
