And a year after he was saying this...

August 22, 2018: McCarthy: Mueller is pursuing obstruction case against Trump

Legal anal-ysts like McCarthy among others are mouth pieces for the government.

He should have released as soon as he declassified if that was his intention and documented the hell out of everything. Yes it’s unfair to demand that, but we’re not living in fair times.

That's exactly what he should have done. The whole "he can declassify them in his head, without any documentation or even telling anyone else" argument just seems bogus to me.

You know what gets me?

During the first or second year of the Trump Administration such people as Bill Cunningham on his radio show speculated that the President would soon be destroyed by someone then actively winning court battles to get his records and his taxes and everything but his grocery lists from his first marriage.(I never listen to him but saw a quote that he now wants a non-Trump to be the next nominee-——traitor.)

He said somewhere there would be a pile of 200 pages about some acknowledgement of a real estate activity in which he honestly thought his aides had cleared the titles, the legal permissions and the permits from the counties and state and US for everything for a site-—but missed something and signed and thus lied on a legal document.

So unless this comes out from that ugly, vicious woman from the Southern District of New York does something to him for a long ago matter, he seems to have survived long enough to be tormented by a House Kangaroo Jan.6th court or by someone now for his Mar-A-Lago document storage decisions (or frame-up about them).

Still really aggravating.

Biden doesn’t have the brain power to order anything but ice cream.

Biden: Yeah, but notice it's chocolate and vanilla waffle cones, that's kinda complex. I rely on a little slip in my pocket that says that so I don't forget when I order.

So now we’ve moved from the Espionage Act. Remember that debate a month ago? To the Presidential Records Act. Remember that debate? To now OBSTRUCTION. See how this works, Mr. Producer?

“McCarthy: Mueller is pursuing obstruction case against Trump”

Ya, Mueller was pursuing an obstruction case, what’s your point? McCarthy also wrote about how Trump did not obstruct in 2018, before the Mueller report was released, a year before he put his book out. He was consistent all the way through.

https://www.factcheck.org/2019/04/what-the-mueller-report-says-about-obstruction/

A lot of dumber people on FR confuse people reporting bad news, with people supporting bad news. Don’t be one of those people.

Donald Trump has the right to have access to all of these materials. What they are saying is he can’t access them the way he did at Mar-A-Lago. HOW IS THAT OBSTRUCTION?

McCarthy is wrong 80% of the time, but talks a good game. It’s why Faux hired him.

They were TS-SCI cover sheets and if they were not declassified, which Trump says they were, then nobody, not even the AG, has the authority to even look at them. Special Compartmented Information documents are viewable only by specifically named persons who hold a SCI billet. If anyone in the Justice Department even looks at one of these documents that if as they proclaim remains classified then they are guilty of a very serious access violation. Even taking a picture of them on the floor could be considered a potential violation. So someone needs to charge everyone who has had access to those documents. Of course I believe Trump declassified them but the FBI can not argue they remain classified without opening all the FBI agents and anyone else who could have accessed them. Those docs should at least be turned over to the security office who maintains those SCI docs.

Don’t know what procedure is, but isn’t it a bit odd that the leaked photo of the Mar-a-Lago search seems to show “TOP SECRET” documents held together by PAPER CLIPS! Seems pretty casual and sloppy to me, or is this staged propaganda?

A staged photo. None other than the NY Times says the documents were not arrayed as shown in the photo. Thus the FBI agents scattered the documents for the picture.

"And Trump had already been public about declassifying the Russiagate stuff before he left office."

The problem with Trump is he has great ideas, doesn't follow through, and has terrible people around him who backstab him

Remember he promised to release the JFK files? And got blocked.

On Oct 6th 2020 Trump authorized the declassification of the Russia docs, and the Clinton email docs, but deferred to the deep state to do it and it never happened.

https://www.politico.com/news/2020/10/13/doj-trumps-declassification-russiagate-429257

"DOJ attorneys told a judge that the White House Counsel’s Office effectively told DOJ to disregard Trump’s tweets on the matter. They weren’t accompanied by an actual declassification order, and DOJ will proceed as though the tweets hadn’t occurred, continuing to redact and release documents at its discretion."

Mark Meadows testified the same thing.

Ya, he tweeted about it, then didn’t follow through and do it.

Patel is one of the weak people around Trump who failed him.

“The White House counsel failed to generate the paperwork to change the classification markings, but that doesn’t mean the information wasn’t declassified”

If they generated the paperwork, then none of this would be happening. If Trump waved his hand over the boxes and said “declassified”, they are declassified, but without the paper trial, it is going to force it to go to court.

This is over 3 documents in a desk...

To sum up, in fact, everthing was stored in the storage room except for 3 so-called classified documents in a drawer in President Trump’s desk. That’s the government saying that. That’s the government saying that, not Mark. I read it to you. THAT’S IT. That’s what they are talking about with dcouments being removed from the storage age. THREE (3)!

And we don’t even know if they were removed from the storage area before or after. But it doesn’t matter. THREE!

No whisper of anything illegal was done with the documents in a substantive way. NOTHING! Nothing. “They didn’t tell us all of these classified documents were in the storage room where they told us the documents were and in fact somebody certified that they turned over everything to us.”

But if you had a mindset or specific intent to destroy something or cover something up, but what is it that they would want to cover up? The existence of the documents? This doesn’t even make any sense. OBSTRUCT WHAT? What exactly?

This is starting to sound like the Russia BULL$HIT when they claimed a number of times, "we really have the goods on him now". ALL their so called "solid proof" evaporated regularly

This DOJ is well into the CYA mode and working at it overtime.

Trump is guilty of NOTHING!

“We found 3 documents in the President’s desk. And we found additional documents in the storage room where they said everything was stored.” So on one hand they are saying everyting wasn’t stored there. WE FOUND THREE DOCUMENTS in the President’s desk. Which tells you there is no criminal intent. They are in his desk for god’s sake. Ok. That’s number 1. Number 2, there is no criminal intent to hide anything because everything IS in the boxes in the storage room.

This is a disgrace on so many levels and to see these CLOWNS on TV, some are lawyers, some are hosts, some worked for Cheney or Bush, to go ON AND ON to suggest that this is “VERY SERIOUS and all the misrepresentations that took place”, and this that and the other.

This is a man that has been targeted. It is that simple.

37 pages. I read the most relevant to you. Did any of that cause you to cringe or say “this Trump is a screwup”? NO, IT DIDN’T. What that caused you to cringe, if you did, was the actions of the GOVERNMENT.

If Trump didn’t surround himself with sycophant morons during the last month of his presidency, and paid attention to reality, he would have just declassified everything he took and this would be a complete non-issue.

@Wayne07: But if you had been in Trump's shoes you would have made all the right decisions and everybody would have lived happily ever after. Should we all bow to Wayne07's superior judgment? Or maybe the criminally vindictive Biden Executive branch is so powerful that we have no hope of saving the Republic.
