They’re being “told” not to charge their EV’s, but what happens when they do?”
Heh, these enlightened and entitled ones will by no means stop charging their virtue machine - and they’ll do it on your dime if you let them.
>>Officials have not said how they plan to deal with an overwhelmed power grid in the future<<
And that is the crux of the matter, worldwide.
Are you listening Al Gore and Greta Thunberg?
You can’t fix stupid
I don’t see the problem.
Drive across the state line to charge your EV.
People who want gas cars are going to have to drive to another state to buy one.
Crickets. YUM!!!/s
“This is a good thing!” - mind numbed EV true believers
our masters want to corral the sheeple into EVs
the purpose of EVs is to destroy gas cars
cuz too much freedom goin’ on ‘round here
Interesting.
So the homeowners who have solar panels are being forced to put it all on the grid?
That would not surprise me, but I wonder if they can charge their own vehicles from their own system?
I could see that one coming an observable-universe away.
how they plan to deal with an overwhelmed power grid in the future
the plan is to restrict resources
the people are so much easier to control with scarce resources
they are promising the jetsons
you will get the flintstones
Better get out now before the walls go up and “now youse can’t leave”
Drive across the state line to charge your EV.
i see a profit opportunity for very long extension cords
and building charging stations on the border
Remember what Rush often said, that leftists have good intentions, so the real life results don’t matter.
cant leave cuz my EV lawn ornament no go
I drove through Texas a couple a few years ago and l was stunned by the number of wind farms l saw. Last year some high winds broke a bunch of these and Texas got a quick lesson on the folly of having your energy dependent on these things. You would have thought Texas would no better but their last two Governors were/are Mike Pence types.
Another unelected board has this kind of power???
...the California Air Resources Board voted to ban gas-powered vehicles in CA...
Through a voluntary program, a lot of people in San Diego get a lower rate for electricity if they agree to give control over their thermostat to SDG&E via wifi. When needed, SDG&E shuts off power to those homes to make up shortfalls. It’s nuts.
If you own the adaptor you can draw some power directly from panels.
They could fix this nonsense at the ballot box, but they won’t.
