Heh, these enlightened and entitled ones will by no means stop charging their virtue machine - and they’ll do it on your dime if you let them.

Through a voluntary program, a lot of people in San Diego get a lower rate for electricity if they agree to give control over their thermostat to SDG&E via wifi. When needed, SDG&E shuts off power to those homes to make up shortfalls. It’s nuts.
