United States Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen warned on Wednesday that the world could face a surge in energy prices in case no price cap on Russian energy is introduced.

"Without a price cap we face the threat of a global price spike if the majority of Russian oil production is shuttered," Yellen said during a meeting with her British counterpart Nadhim Zahawi. Meanwhile, the United Kingdom chancellor of the exchequer remained confident a G7 price cap on Russian oil "will deliver" and urged more countries to support the action.

Blame Neocons and their support for Biden’s war.

Come on, you political hack, you need look no further than down the street to find out who’s responsible for this inflation. By any measure, your control of M2 is a disaster and simply amplifies what Dufus is doing. You should be ashamed and turn the job over to someone who knows what they’re doing.

Get the Democrats knee off the neck of US production and watch prices go down.

Or you could just stop buying Russian energy if the price is too high. If you can’t do that, then the price isn’t too high. You could call that, oh, I don’t know, price elasticity of demand or something.

Still blaming the war? Really? Not the ongoing limits to US production, or the decline in the buying power of the $US due to Biden’s economic policies?

A simple graph of the price hikes in energy beginning on Biden's first day and executive order PROVE that the Democrats have caused this inflation. Period. Printing/minting too much money throughout the non-pandemic pandemic and then depressing the energy industries in the US has been the entire game plan — to usher in bigger government on top of big government. “World” price controls equals world government. Period. The neocons and neolibs have been exposed. Anti-capitalists who love their own perks and resent others’ wealth.

We’re well outside the normal economic models. What’s being done to us is intentional, in the name of transforming from carbon-based energy to what these people are calling renewables. Supply and demand means absolutely nothing when we could be energy independent in a matter of months. This agenda has been allowed to grow by both political parties, and ultimately the people will need to change things.

What does she mean “Price Cap”?

You are going to have the government pick up the difference between the cap and the actual cost (directly paying the Russians BTW)?

You are going to make it illegal to sell oil above some politically determined price (This insuring shortages)?

It seems whenever there are politically difficult things to say, they come up with some new expression with a purposely soft meaning.

“G7 price cap on Russian oil “will deliver”

Yellow..You can take your price cap and shove it up your phat ass!

All the while, the worthless assholes stand by and watch as Red China takes over the Pacific.

But RUSSIA! Its RUSSIA!

Red China has the Pacific just about sowed up..give it a few months and we will get to see the results of that.

Eff Russia, The Ukraine, pig face Bidet, and the whole of the Euro criminal cabal. We cant even dock a GD Coast Guard cutter in the ports in the south Pacific Islands anymore.

That is a very good question, given the EU and the USA have already sanctioned Russian oil. But I keep coming back to this isn't about sanctions or caps. It's about the transition from carbon based fuels to renewables (whatever the hell they are) and the enormous pain we are about to all feel. This war is intentional and it's being used as a strawman.
