For those not knowing, Robert Habeck qualifications are he is an author of children's books and he holds a degree in philosophy. Also there is an easy solution to this problem; buy Rubles from the Russian Bank and pay for Russian Gas. The alternative is the State of Germany collapses.

They refer multiple times to "gasoline" in the article, but I'm thinking that it might be a mis-translation and should be "Natural Gas."

Energy costs are gonna start closing businesses around here on the coast, as well.

The margin in our business is ridiculously thin as it is, with the cost of heating/cooling going up we are very close to saying to-hell-with-it.

I guess he meant Natural Gas, not Gasoline. But not much of an expert if he cannot tell the difference.

Went into a Walmart after dark thirty recently, the first time I've been in one after dark in a long time. They had these long LED light fixtures up in place of the old fluorescent ones and they're evidently variable intensity. They had the lighting set dim - it was like shopping in the twilight. Had to fire up a flashlight a time or two to read the fine print on a package. Wonder if anyone else has seen this change at a Walmart.

Just my little story from living in Berlin...

I had an office in a 5 year old building. Built to the insane “green” standards set by the greenstapo. LED lights, plants on the roof (which I admit I did enjoy) insulation, all that stuff. One day an electrician crew came in to remove ALL the light switches and light fixtures to replace them with motion sensors. The office and bathroom lights would shut off after a few minutes and the hallway lights shut off as soon as you were about 10 feet from them. All to save the planet while Merkel was importing millions of her violent African and Muslim pets.

I was in a local supermarket yesterday & was suddenly aware of how warm it was inside.

When I was a kid you could almost see your breath in supermarkets, they were kept so chilly.

Maybe they were trying to discourage people from going to the lav. It can get spooky sitting there in the dark.

It’s not even winter yet and already they starting to shut down manufacturing and dealing with sky high utility bills. I can’t see them allowing this to continue for much longer before pushback from their citizens forces them to negotiate an end to this war.
