President Biden has announced that the federal government will forgive $10,000 in student loan debt for Americans making less than $125,000 annually as well as extend the student loan repayment moratorium. This plan is estimated to cost taxpayers $330 billion and should be seen as the most unfair, outrageous, and disgraceful decision in many years. The president is telling Americans that they do not have to bear any responsibility for their voluntary obligations in borrowing money or going into debt. His proposal is also regressive and inflationary, and possibly unconstitutional.

Actually this might play out hilarious…
The $10k is a taxable event… so some of these folks might get between a $1k-4k tax bill due in April 2023 for this ‘Free’ gift for a debt that may have been paid back at less than $50 a month.
Someone is going to feel mugged at the end of the day.

Be prepared to hear a lot of bitching.
It’s about the only positive I see from it.

But the plan may backfire, as the motivation to oppose candidates who are forcing voters to pay for someone else’s loans could end up being far stronger than the White House may think. It will but 99% of the prog media will recite in unison that it hasn't.
It will be smug smiles as they tell the lie and frowny faces when they mention outspoken individuals that are telling the truth about how many normal people HATE the criminal biden regime.

What kind of leadership do you need for voters to understand student loan payback is a reward for people who are financially irresponsible? The democrat base might be stupid enough not to see the obvious but people on our side can see this scam for what it is without the help of 'leaders' or 'organizers'

" Instead of congratulating and emulating these hard-working Americans who have demonstrated fiscal, personal, and moral responsibility, the White House is spitting in their faces along with everyone else who has paid off their loans or their children’s loans. "
It isn't the first time demRATs have spit in our faces, it's just the most recent time this month.

In the new order, debtors and criminals are held to account for nothing. The only real transgressions are leading an honest, productive life and not sharing their political views. Totalitarian fascism.

Right. Where is the challenge to this. Why is not one taking it to court and asking for an injunction until the legality of it is sorted out?

Hopefully the court challenges are coming. Should have been ready to go. The problem may be that no one has standing (?)

If it dies in court it will be after the upcoming election. They already bought the votes with the announcement.

The people who didn’t do anything wrong are to assume the debts of those who screwed up? Does that sound right? Please explain...and I don’t mean by making a Joe Biden explanation.

Yeah, that should work.

Let’s just call this what it is, outrageous and it should not stand. Hopefully I have representatives in Congress that will represent me and fight tis absurdity.
