It is a goofy looking ship. Typical brit over-engineering and funky design.

God save the Queen’s !!!
well, there’s no nuke, so that narrows it down some...
So, it has a “mother in law” suite.
Explains the problem
“We knew the attack was coming. We let it happen.”
BINGO. The McCollum 8-Point Memo memo was supposedly a rightwing conspiracy until it was validated by Robert Stinnett. It is real.
That’s why I despise McArthur now. He was ordered to stand down “happily” at Manila even though we had multiple subs ready on standby. All those young American GI’s perished at Corregidor and Bataan due to this bullshit.
They blew a rod.
The USA has been doing worldwide carrier operations during and since ww2.
All that socialism has degraded the British navy.
FTA: “Taking the HMS Prince of Wales task group across the Atlantic for the rest of this year will not only push the boundaries of UK carrier operations, but will reinforce our close working relationship with our closest ally.
HMS Prince of Wales...I was reminded of what happened on 12/10/1941...Off the coast of Malaysia...Prince of Wales and Repulse were sunk by Japanese aircraft...
PRINCE OF WALES and REPULSE had no air cover...
I had no idea that British again named a Royal Navy ship “PRINCE OF WALES”...
Hmmmmm. From 2010...
Sinking fast: French aircraft carrier set to defend Britain breaks down
From 2000...
ROFL
awwww sh!t...
“Warships will be useless in a major war”...
um, no, I disagree. You are already counting on a hot war where warships are specifically targeted. Short of that, there are a lot of natural pinch points that can cut off the lifeblood of a lot of ountries... Suez, Panama, canals, straits of Hormuz, straits of Taiwan, straits of Malacca, Bosphorus strait, and Russia access to the North Sea.
PIP PIP !!!
Yes, I’ve always associated Prince of Wales with the battleship sunk in 1941. I checked Wikipedia and it appears there have been numerous ships with that name in the RN since the 1760s.
