The trailer for My Son Hunter, which already has over one million views across social media, depicts just the “tip of the iceberg” in a movie that does not “pull any punches,” actor John James, who plays President Joe Biden in the film, said during an exclusive interview on Breitbart News Saturday, previewing the film ahead of its September 7 release.

After reading the script, James said he absolutely had to participate in the film.
“I said, yes, I have to do this. I said I haven’t read a script like this where I actually laugh out loud,” James said, although he noted that it also “full of emotion because it’s quite the story.”
“Lawrence has described it — Lawrence Fox who plays Hunter who’s brilliant in this picture, it’s just fantastic — he describes it as a gangster comedy, but it’s much more than that. There is emotion,” James said.

James also praised the film’s director Robert Davi (Licensed to Kill, Die Hard, The Goonies), particularly for his attention to detail throughout the film and the style he went for in the shots, which the actor said almost became a character in the film itself.
“They say actors make the best directors and good actors make great directors. And he is a fantastic actor. … He was all about the detail, the sets, everything had to be right, look right,” he said, explaining that Davi asked the director of photography to watch films such as the The Godfather and American Hustle for inspiration.

The film will be available for streaming and downloading September 7, 2022.

The alternate economy is on the way. It will be bigger, pay better, be more fun than the other. Soon leftist Hollywood types will only be known in China
Lawrence Fox is a vocal critic of the PC culture. He played detective Hathaway on the British series Lewis.
Big Inspector Morse fan. Miss watching John Thaw and Kevin Whately as Lewis.
NOT hollyweird types. Though they may try to buy it to put in a vault somwhere high in the Andes mountains.
The filmmakers cannot use the usual disclaimer:
"The story, all names, characters, and incidents portrayed in this production are fictitious. No identification with actual persons (living or deceased), places, buildings, and products is intended or should be inferred."
From what I have seen of the preview, the film "quotes" Joe and Hunter using screenwriter-produced dialog. Those are not quotes.
So how do the filmmakers avoid being sued?
John James is a conservative. Although we did not stay in touch, our children were friends and attended the same school as the two James’ children (many years ago - they are all adults now). My husband had some social outings with John James - great guy! - him and he was definitely conservative (so is my husband).
That was a good show.
First of all, if what they depict is accurate, there is no basis for a defamation suit. Second, as "public figures" the Bidens would have a steep road to climb to establish invasion of privacy or similar claims, or even defamation claims. Not to mention that there appears to be quite a trove of publicly available court documents relating to Hunter's various depravities.
Although it is also true that anyone can sue, even without a meritorious claim. With the corrupt judiciary that we have, the Bidens might sue. But I think it would be a mistake. The suit would give more publicity to the film and the information that would come out in the discovery process would be stunning.
GREAT ACTOR..GREAT SERIES
Wonder if the FIB will do anything about the film?
First of all, if what they depict is accurate, there is no basis for a defamation suit."
Pretending to quote someone without actually quoting them is never "accurate." Maybe the film shows a disclaimer saying, "None of the the dialog in this film was ever spoken by any of the real people who are represented by actors in this film. We made it all up." Would that be good enough to prevent a lawsuit? I am imagining a film by Michael Moore in which actors playing Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin are shown talking on the phone about hacking the 1996 election. Would a disclaimer at the beginning of such a film be enough to prevent Trump from suing and winning?
The suit would give more publicity to the film and the information that would come out in the discovery process would be stunning.
That is almost certainly right.
What other films have put dialog in the mouths of public figures who were alive and active during the film's production?
This seems unusual to me, but maybe it is not.
Loved it!
Now I watch podcasts, reruns of Stargate or Johny Carson but mainly read.
Oh something is changing all right. Think of “Night Of The Long Knives’’ a la Hollywood.
These bastards are going to go more radical in 2024. 2028 it’ll be AOC’s turn.
God help us all.
