Sen. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.) on Sunday defended former President Trump in the wake of an FBI search of his Mar-a-Lago property but noted Trump “should have turned over all” of the classified documents authorities said he kept after he left the White House.
“I understand he turned over a lot of documents. He should have turned over all of them. I imagine he knows that very well now as well,” Blunt said on ABC’s “This Week with George Stephanopoulos.”

You are an annoying poster - always posting comments by irrelevant people.
And when all is said and done these moron Republicans will be forced to eat their words & crawl to the electorate when Trump beats the rap.
Again.
Will they ever learn.
I’m sure Roy would do whatever he was told. So, if they ask for your freedom, just hand it to them. The communist have a term for the likes of Roy - USEFUL IDIOT.
LOL
That's like saying 'those firemen sure made a mess of that burning house!'
God I’m so sick of these bastards! And too boot I just read that Murcowski might prevail in keeping her Senate seat because of the crossover Democrats in Alaska! Even the fraud has reached all the way to Alaska! Incredible. If that doesn’t make your blood boil nothing will. Same old shit same old shit every six years. Now we’re at the point that these bastards are going to have to be dragged out of the Senate/house building feet first out the door like mcVAIN! I’ll say it again the American people are either so stupid or the fraud machines are ripping off the American people! Red wave what red wave? more like fraud wave!
I’m concerned we won’t will back the senate and maybe no even the house.THE SKY IS FALLING! - THE SKY IS FALLING!
You should be concerned that he is President again or you will be reliving your glorious Biden years, or worse, even with a Republican Senate and House.
Oh BTW, I too voted for Trump twice and here's why:
Trump accomplished more in one term than any other President in your lifetime.
You realize that any document created during his presidency belongs to the people, right?Let us know how it works out for you when you request your (unredacted) copies.
Why should he have? Obama didn’t turn over his 30,000,000 pages. Obama promised to digitize them and to date he has not.
Is he waiting for the opening of the Grand Caliph Baraq Presidential Library and Mosque in Chicago?
Blunt as NO... NO knowledge of what documents Trump has or had... none. What a smarmy litte crapper— Good riddance roy me boy.
How is it you “understand” he turned over a lot of documents? HMMMM? And not being able to substantiate that, how do you know he didn’t return all documents?
How about if all the documents weren’t classified any more, what then mr. know it all. Goodbye useless scat.
Answer- You don’t!
He did.
Trump's lawyer said classified documents from Mar-a-Lago were transferred to the NARA in a 'voluntary and open' way"It is important to emphasize that when a request was made for the documents by the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), President Trump readily and voluntarily agreed to their transfer to NARA," Corcoran wrote.
He continued: "The communications regarding the transfer of boxes to NARA were friendly, open, and straightforward. President Trump voluntarily ordered that the boxes be provided to NARA. No legal objection was asserted about the transfer. No concerns were raised about the contents of the boxes. It was a voluntary and open process."
... or filed a response as to why they should not be turned over.
He did.
[Update] Analysis of NARA’s Letter to Former President Trump[Trump legal representatives’] April 29 letter asks for additional time for you to review the materials in the boxes “in order to ascertain whether any specific document is subject to privilege,” and then to consult with the former President “so that he may personally make any decision to assert a claim of constitutionally based privilege.” Your April 29 letter further states that in the event we do not afford you further time to review the records before NARA discloses them in response to the request, we should consider your letter to be “a protective assertion of executive privilege made by counsel for the former President.”
I know we would like to think they can't but clearly they can.
“Oh man. I voted for trump twice. But he is correct. Trump’s actions are turning off a lot of voters. He is making himself the story. I’m concerned we won’t will back the senate and maybe no even the house.
What is happening is not good”
You need to present a viable option to the 45th President of the United States in the 2024 Republican Primaries.
Guess what? You don’t have one now and it won’t be any better for you in 2023 or 2024.
Right now....today....its Biden vs Trump....again.
Who are you and your pussy friends voting for in a rematch scenario?
A 2012 federal court ruling involving a dispute with Bill Clinton declared that presidents have the “sole discretion” to decide which of their presidential records are personal and that such decisions can’t even be challenged by a federal court.
The reason for the raid was to confiscate, then destroy, any records he had of the attempted treasonous act(s) in the Russiagate mess.
Any records he has on that is now evidence against all the parties involved...FBI, CIA, Obama, Biden, Hillary, etc.
FYI Hunter is the dangling carrot and the stuck on stupid asses pulling the cart to get him, are the fools who will get him and everyone else off.
If Hunter is frog marched to prison, your lives, our lives will not change one iota and Joe (the real criminal) will still be free to destroy the country.
They are busy identifying themselves.
That is what the Deep State Librarians claimed after Trump accused them of playing favorites.
He declassified any that he had while he was still president. He had no classified documents at Mar-a-Lago. I am sure an indictment can be had in DC, though, for whatever the prosecutor there dreams up. Sam for a conviction in DC. But it will al be pending appeals which will be won handily as soon as things get out of DC..
“You realize that any document created during his presidency belongs to the people, right? They don’t belong to Trump—or any other President.
He should have turned them over, or filed a response as to why they should not be turned over.”
Dude, have you heard of a copying machine?
Are you saying the President can’t keep any copies or that the National Archives couldn’t make some themselves?
