I’m trying to figure out the new agent (“booster”).
I am in daily contact with COVID patients. I tick all the boxes predicting severe disease. I’ve had 3 Pfizer mRNA shots, last ten months ago. I have spike antibodies but not nucleocapsid antibodies (no prior infection), the spike antibodies are from the mRNA shots.
I never got a fourth shot. In fact, my work with the mRNA agents has led me to believe that debunking influenza vaccine is right around the corner.
But still - the recent NEJM paper looking only at >65 does show a very significant reduction in severe disease (hospital or death) vax vs no vax - and that’s using a Wuhan strain vax only.
So, I haven’t made up my mind about the Pfizer Wuhan + omicron shot. I take some of the concerns expressed here very seriously, but the nature of my work and my age pushes me WAY into the “think seriously about it” category.
I appreciate your willingness to consider ALL the evidence, theories, speculation, studies, and alternative voices. That's all anybody can ask.
Why can't everybody be so wise?

Could you explain ‘debunking influenza vaccine’, please?
