Until very recently, there were annual gatherings in the South, with costumed men acting out various historic battles.
I don’t know if that still happens anywhere or not.
And why shouldn’t it? The Civil War is part of our country’s history. Many enjoy reading about the weaponry and war plans used.

In the AWC, they’re just portraying great American military heroes. The Army does very well to still study BOTH sides of the Civil War.
