Government rewards irresponsible people
Government punishes responsible people.
It’s amazing that even after graduating (smarter?) people don’t realize that they were ripped off.
Oh f*** you! You freely and willingly took the loans. Pay them back and get out of my pocket.
“ Courses on compound interest should be a mandatory high school graduation requirement.”
Instead of rushing kids into algebra early, all kinds of math (actually just arithmetic) involving percentages could be taught. Simple and compound interest are among the most important.
Wtell, from the looks her picture, at least she’s been eating OK.
I think it is time to end the high school straight to college pipeline. And I’m not referring to the oh-so-chic gap year. End unlimited college loans and grants which might have to be repaid. Encourage high school grads to choose full time jobs or military service for three or four years and save their earnings. (People are living longer these days so they don’t have to be in a great hurry as their forebears required.) Some will enjoy their jobs or become entrepreneurs and forego full time expensive college. Others will decide to get a degree but they will be older and wiser, less naive about finances and less susceptible to bs from their professors. In some cases more intensive training may require financial assistance beyond their savings, tie eligibility to reasonable future earnings expectations. If a college or university wants to entice someone to attend, require that school offer refunds for fraud in the inducement if the student met the course/major requirements and was unable to gain professional employment. (I know, pipe dream, but still . . .).
All persons in any Service Industry should REFUSE to ever work for her, I would include all Auto repair shops and other such services too.
I regularly FIRE customers for being morally bankrupt or ethically corrupt
Oddly, the private school I attended is now considered one of the most country club colleges in America. My company paid the tab.
So now we are going to be baraged by the left wing media with stories like this. I hope most people who read this story are able to see that it isn’t fair that this person’s stupidity should cost you and me.
Paying YOUR effing loans will affect MY KID’S lives, you sleazy waste of oxygen.
They call it a "student loan," but you can spend it on anything you choose, such as a Eurail pass and a summer in Europe.
I know people who did that and are actively not repaying their loans.
I know SEVERAL people who paid for weddings with student loans!!!
It is NOT a cancellation of student loans it is $10,000 dollars this bitch borrowed $100.000 she will be no where near having her loan paid off!! This just goes to show how STUPID these college grads are!!! She and her sister are jumping for joy over NOTHING!!
Many moons ago I went to a state college and was on the pay as you go plan. Sounds as if that is unheard of now. I am to say the least NOT HAPPY to have to pay for someone else's college life.
So, why should I pay for your mistakes, Kelly?
I think one of the most underreported benefits offered by a lot of companies (caveat: I used them from 1983 to 2006) is the benefit of tuition reimbursement. Truly a “pay as you go” method that netted me a Bachelor’s and Master degree. My hubby finished a double stint in the Air Force and went to college on his VA benefits. Later he worked for a defense contractor and got his MA in Mathematics.
It took me 8 years of going to school part time and working full time to get the Bachelor’s. It took me 5 years of doing the same for the Master’s.
And....no student debt!
Maybe someone can tell me if companies (many medium and large businesses) still offer this benefit. If so, I’d try to be placed with one of those companies. It can only be good and maybe help advance you up the ladder with degrees earned.
....and....taadaaa...she didn’t get the degree????!!!!!!!!
Oh...my grandaughter will be attending SWIC Southwestern Illinois College for the next 2 years. She’s participating in the #runningstart program. The goal is to graduate 👩🎓 high school with your HS diploma and your college associates degree. She will still play in high school band 🥁 and sports. Go Gracie!!!
oops, I was wrong about that! She did get a degree...
Just who did he think those $100k in loans would affect?
