In the middle of the 15th century, Gutenberg was printing books, which opened up scientific inquiry to the masses; more people became literate, and were able to earn and produce a better living for themselves and their families.

During the 16th century, advancements were made in the theories of mathematics, cosmography, geography, and natural history. In this century inventions related to the fields of engineering, mining, navigation, and the military arts were prominent.

And during this time in North America, indigenous people were wearing animal skins, eating bugs and living in mud huts.

I'm at a complete loss to understand why the efforts made by white people over the last two thousand years have become so vilified. It has to be blind hatred because the reality is the quality of life for the indigenous people in North America, South America and Africa was horrible.
