I remember when that happened! Several white prisoners also had their throats cut. Jackson tried for a breakout and was shot dead. I believe it was his mom who later said “They shot my po boy and dragged him out there!” as if the whole uprising was to get Jackson.

Yet no one said a word about the white prisoners with their throats cut.
