Have they jumped the shark?

They used to get away with these progressive mandates

What if everyone now just ignores them?

I’m guessing California will eventually get around to banning gas stations.

I thought I read that some California towns have already banned new gas stations and restricted the upgrading of existing ones. To save the planet, of course.

I will be 97. My 2012 Chrysler 200 convertible will not quite be a classic. I’m holding onto it for my kids. It may be worth something in 2035.

It’s unfortunate the level of devastation that California has to experience before the people can repent and turn things around.

“The rule, issued by the California Air Resources Board...”

Some funky unelected, agency gets to make a unilateral decision (at the behest of Gruesome, I’m sure) that effects millions of people.

It’s disgusting as hell.

Keep your ICE car, its used car value will skyrocket.

Get ready for life in a return to the Nineteenth Century.

Will they mandate zero emission horses?

I am confident that if this ever happens CA will lose the resulting lawsuit.
They used to get away with charging a fee, I think it was $150, for bringing in an out of state vehicle.
Seems the Fed. put a stop to that.
CA does a lot of crap that eventually gets shut down.
I remember the days of their “Source tax” on folk who retired outside of CA with a CA pension.
Your ordeal seems similar, a class action suit would be appropriate.

Fascism. Since when does the government have the right to tell us what we can buy or not? (It doesn’t have the right. It usurps the right).

Margo Oge born in Greece. Once again, another foreigner in the EPA, telling us how to live our lives.

The electrical demand will require the state to permit building a few nuclear power plants. HA!

That's exactly what it is.

+Good.

Grass will grow in the streets, the stores will be bare and the state will return to the early 1900’s.

Couldn’t happen to a more deserving people.

Can’t feel sorry for any of them other than those operating the big farms. This will destroy them and make certain foods very high priced or impossible to purchase by the rest of the nation.

But there is no stopping their rush to destruction. The corruption goes too deep. CA has to destroy itself befire the remainging sensible residents can take control.

True but we are forced to live under the enforcement laws of such.

As if the CA power grid can handle 20 million EV cars.

Good news for gasoline-powered car dealerships in neighboring states.

I think if the regulation actually goes into effect, they may not let anyone register a new ICE car after 2035 regardless of where it was purchased..

Can’t fix stupid. Kalifornika has rolling brown and black out. They send out notices to NOT charge EV’s until a heat wave or whatever excuse they give at the time. This is with less than 10% EV’s on the CA roads.

How exactly do they think they can make enough energy to power 50% EV’s without fossil fuels or Nuclear power plants? 70%? 90%?

This was never about pollution or the climate because nothing they do matters to the climate.

According to the EPA, Carbon dioxide (CO2) is the primary greenhouse gas emitted through human activities. But they forgot one little item.

The prevailing view among scientists is that global climate change may prove beneficial to many farmers and foresters — at least in the short term. The logic is straightforward: Plants need atmospheric carbon dioxide to produce food, and by emitting more CO2 into the air, our cars and factories create new sources of plant nutrition that will cause some crops and trees to grow bigger and faster. So plants need CO2.

Within a study from Stanford, it says that combined with higher temperatures, increased precipitation or increased nitrogen deposits in the soil, it is detrimental to the plants efforts. But nitrogen is important in the plants creating the amino acids in themselves to prosper. Water is a must for obvious reasons. So that leaves temperatures.

According to NASA, the average global temperature on Earth has increased by at least 1.1° Celsius (1.9° Fahrenheit) since 1880 till now.

So when you put this together with an ecologist, it sounds oh so true on paper. If you put it in the hands of a person trying to make sense of it and gets past the BS, it sounds stupid. It’s not for saving the world. It’s for imprisoning it.
