So the Australian government told the loan companies to help them force people to get electric cars and the loan companies “willingly” complied.
Obviously the switch would not have happened without this heavy-handed coercion.
When does our government realize that this is a super way to fool the public and implement it here?
THIS is the reason why Tesla when from zero market cap to a $1 Trillion market cap Eben though they had little revenue. Those “in the know” and politically connected knew this was coming.

I’ve been to Australia; love the country and it’s people. I do wonder what’s taken possession of their brains at times though. Example; their gun laws, now their position on renewable energy. I’m wonder how folks will make the drive from sydney to Perth. There is absolutely nothing between the two….

Please, don’t give them any suggestions. They are already on a tear. A lot of banks already won’t lend money for the expansion of sidearm manufacture, and some credit card companies won’t accept a charge for purposes of purchasing a gun or ammunition.
When it comes to motor vehicles, keep the old IC vehicle on the road for as long as you still can. With proper care, most modern IC vehicles will roll for a million miles or more.

Countries like China that resist this insane rush to throw away their petroleum fueled economies and convert to so-called “renewable energy” will dominate the world industrially and economically in the near future.
The idiot “leaders” in places like the USA and Australia are in the process of destroying their own economies by shutting down reliance on coal and petroleum.
Meanwhile China, India and others are building more coal and oil powered generating plants.
As coal and petroleum usage and demand drops in the west, world prices will go down and the “fossil fuel” powered economies will have the advantage of using less costly power as compared to places like the USA that rely more and more on higher cost “renewable” power sources.
All well and good until the powers that be restrict or ban the sale of gasoline.
I can just imagine cruising the endless miles of the outback or trying the engage in some serious four-wheel driving, in an electric vehicle.
People will die because of this foolishness

To a fascist government, that is irrelevant.
The quotes in the article are an eye opening load of crap. Saying the switch to EV’s has to happen quickly because Australia doesn’t want to be “left behind” and it will save consumers money because they are more efficient. Oh, and an open discussion about this needs to happen. (Ya right).
