These Billionaires Are Helping Lisa Murkowski Fight Off A Trump-Backed Challenger

Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski has won the backing of several billionaire donors in her battle for a fourth term. Leading the pack is hedge fund tycoon Ken Griffin, one of seven moguls who have donated over $25,000 to help Murkowski stay in the Senate.

Griffin sent $1.5 million to Alaskans for L.I.S.A., a super PAC that can accept unlimited donations. The group, founded by former Murkowski campaign staffers, claims the acronym in its name stands for “Leadership In a Strong Alaska,” but it only backs one candidate: Murkowski, and has spent $2.7 million on her behalf. In addition to Griffin, fellow hedge funders John Arnold and Louis Bacon contributed $500,000 and $50,000 to the PAC, respectively. James and Kathryn Murdoch, the politically moderate heirs to the Murdoch media empire, have each given $250,000.

Billionaires from big Alaska industries have also pitched in. Michael S. Smith, who donated $200,000, and Jeffrey Hildebrand, who contributed $75,000, both made their fortunes in oil. Micky Arison, who along with his wife donated $25,000 total, runs Carnival Cruise Line.

Together, these billionaires—all of whom reside in the lower 48 ......

That title has the makings of a great commercial!

I’d guess Alaskan won’t care much for intruders from the lower 48. Especially rich liberals.

In earlier times billionaires were conservative. Luce who owned Time and Life had a lot of control over what was promoted. William Randolph Hearst could make or break political careers with hundreds of local and big city newspapers under his control. Now the wealthy elites are apparently kissing up to Leftists.

So I want to see remaining conservative billionaires buy cable TV networks and social media and spend millions on conservative campaigns.

So where are they?

Are there that many woke creeps taking a knee and worshiping BLM? Really? Or is it just the corrupt behind the scenes war profiteering and manipulation of precious metals, the dollar and bitcoins?

“Leading the pack is hedge fund tycoon Ken Griffin, one of seven moguls who have donated over $25,000 to help Murkowski stay in the Senate.”

Griffin gave $50 million to IL gubernatorial candidate Irvin. Irvin got trounced. Griffin has a terrible record with whom he supports. But it’s his money so he can lose it the way he wants.

Memo to me: Don’t invest in Griffin’s hedge funds.

If anyone ever gets REALLY serious about election integrity and relevance, among the first laws would be outlawing any out-of-state campaign donations for everything except Pres & VP...

For SuperPACs, that means amending the First Amendment. Even with such an amendment, it is NOTHING for billionaires to set up shell corporations in other states.

Heck, it is happening with other COUNTRIES throwing money into such shells stateside.

Why is it that the more we lower taxes on billionaires the more liberal they become? I think we should of raised taxes on these people.

Trump's SALT deduction reform was a baby step in that direction.

You can bet that Comrade Soros has found a way to contribute to Murkowski through an NGO.

If a voter is unaware of how money manipulates thought, then they should not be voting.

What is about being a billionaire that turns people evil. Why can’t they just be happy with what they have

"Trump-backed challenger"

They would not say Kari Lake's name until after she won.

They would not say Harriet Hageman's name until a few days after she won. Headlines the night Lizard lost were "Cheney defeated by Trump-backed challenger."

Now they won't say Kelly Tshibaka's name. Let's hope the pattern continues.

ALL people are evil.

Billionaires just have vastly more resources at their disposal, and with their money, they usually don’t have to settle for nearly as many “no’s” that normal people have to.

They can just get a lot more of it accomplished.

Donations can only get you so far. In 2016, Hillary had a 2 to 1 advantage in funding. It didn't help.

Which is why the Dems decided to skip the middlemen (the voters) in 2020, and go straight to those that count the votes.
I'm not sure what is going to change in 2022 and 2024.
We'll vote, but voter fraud seems to be systemic in many (if not most) the States in our Country. We are on our way to becoming a Venezuela.

There are millionaires who are also Marxists. They, like Soros, are funding America’s march into the Pit.

I seem to remember John McCain doing CFR. Campaign Finance Reform, to get the dirty money out of politics. Now we have foreigners and billionaires giving HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS. So much for CFR.
