The difference is Apple has already said they will scan your data and report to police for crimes they think are worth reporting.
And Google won't? Unfortunately, affordable non-iOS/Google Android/Microsoft SmartPhones aren't that useable yet.
I thought Apple just scans your iCloud stuff, not your local phone storage. Of course, who knows?

I’m of the belief that anything on your phone or computer device is seen and stored on giant government and Google apple et al databases.
They have the technology to do that these days.
And anything you put on the www stays there forever.
