National Republican Senatorial Committee funds declined to just $28.4 million by the end of June. (Photo: Manuel Augusto Moreno via Getty Images) Anumber of Republican strategists and consultants are growing increasingly dismayed about millions of dollars vanishing at the National Republican Senatorial Committee — just when the funds are needed most, The Washington Post reported Friday.
Cash at the national campaign fund is dwindling as candidates head into the final stretch of Senate races across the U.S.

They must have placed it in the general budget with the taxpayer receipts. Makes perfect sense.
Ditto to what you said. Winred has been bothering me for the past three or four months with one email after another. I just delete everything they send. Shysters. Thank the Lord I had to get another card that has a different new number. I believe I’d be in big trouble right now if I still had the card I once used for a contribution.
.
I can’t remember, I think if you smell toast it’s a stroke. Unless its 7am and someone just made toast.
I think...
So true. The candidate I chose to support also had her contributions funneled through WINRED. I want my hard earned money to go directly to the candidate. Thank you very much.
I smell almonds, is that bad?...
I decided some time ago not to donate through anyone using Winred. First, I want my money to go as directly as possible to the candidate. Second, if my candidate is using Winred they are buying into using an establishment tool to get money to run. I need my candidates to demonstrate stronger discernment of association and skills when running, so they can use them when they are elected.
Sounds almost like those in charge were scared of a tsunami of new Senators and Representatives that might actually demand change in the hierarch and dismantle the status quo, so they decided to sabotage it. My original thinking was that Sen. Scott was positioning himself to be Majority leader when the new blood arrived, but evidently I was wrong. It’s just human nature for the most part, give humans access to a really big pot of money and they become drunk on spending it.
Finally, unsubscribing from these solicitations is a constant battle.
The NRSC spends it on anti-American candidates and never on MAGA and America First candidates. It is no surprise they have less funding.
“The GOP obviously doesn’t care what the donors think about their system.”
Oh yes they do — as long as you’re a major CORPORATE donor.
Any conservative individual who contributes one dime to any of the GOP alphabet scam campaign organizations (RNC, NRSC, whatever else) is a sucker beyond belief.
They’ll take your money and spend it on liberal candidates (or on more fundraising pitches) and starve conservative candidates or even spend to OPPOSE them. Your wishes don’t matter one iota, and just look where the money goes if you don’t believe that. The only rule they live by is: “keep those liberal corporations happy”.
So give directly to deserving candidates — never give one cent to the GOP establishment.
Why would anybody give money to the deep state National Republican Senatorial Committee?
If you like a candidate just send the money directly to them. Cut out the corrupt meddle men.
In the final ten weeks of 2020, the Republican National Committee reportedly issued refunds of some $64.3 million to online donors, many who felt they were taken advantage of.
Now, it appears, the National Republican Campaign Committee is adopting a similar–perhaps even more aggressive–tactic for their WinRed fundraising.
The NRCC could have a different legal problem, however. The WinRed copy clearly mentions Donald Trump in spite of a cease-and-desist letter sent to the committee by the former president, demanding his name and likeness not be used by the group for fundraising without his consent.
Winred may not be the problem, they are only the collection site?
I agree. I sent them money once. Sure am glad I got a new card after I made my contribution. I’ve been furiously deleting their emails and refuse to answer any of them. I also tried to “unsubscribe.” That only made matters worse. They finally seemed to get the message the past couple weeks or so. Sure has been nice. I’ll never send WINRED a penny ever again. Big mistake.
I assume this is why Trump hasn’t announced. Once he does, doesn’t the GOP get a cut of his fundraising?
Not only that, I don’t like WinRed because I am not RED. Never have been. And that the GOP idiots don’t have the backbone to constantly be pointing out that the Democrats are communists tells me something about them.
But these simps embrace being called RED.
Same here. I cancelled my bank account plus the card.
You find a candidate you like and want to support, and give only to that candidate. I never give money to the Republican National Committee. Problem solved.
Red Koolaid or Blue Koolaid.
Can't compete with govt employee unions and the NEA either.
