I am sharing the report of this article because I found it fascinating with villagers witnesses & follow-up video.

If you found it interesting, GREAT! If you are disinterested that’s certainly OK. Or, if you have a need to ridicule or mock the ‘messenger’ sharing the article, have at it. Especially, if it helps you have a better day. :)

IMPORTANT POINTS FOR THOSE THAT HAVEN’T READ THE ARTICLE OR VIDEO:
The article stateD “Su-34, which was shot at by a pensioner, was shot down over Chernihiv on March 5. Valery Fedorovich fired at an enemy Su-34 with a rifle. Local residents then heard the roar of an approaching fighter jet, and several men, including Valery Fedorovich, fired at it with guns. Chernihiv resident helped the military and civilians “

The Youtube video further clarified: “Fedorovich defended his native Chernihiv, trying to hit a rashist plane with a gun. He also hid an entire family in his basement from bombing. This is a story about an ordinary person who defends his native home from the invader”
P.S. It is not known for certain who exactly shot down that plane, but we guarantee that our hero was involved in this.

Whether the plane came down because of his shooting, or that he shot at a plan already hit, I do not know. But, I did find the story of this elderly man

My Dad served in the Army Air Corp on the ww2 pacific theatre as well. he was a pilot and later a mores code radio man dropped behind enemy lines to report location of enemy. He ended up with malaria as having spent so mush time in the swamps.

He told me of a helicopter brought down by a spear in the fuel tank.

Allow me to just say I'm very skeptical about this story.

I was an Air Defense Artillery Officer from 76-84. My first job in Germany was at C Battery, 6th Battalion, 56th ADA at Hahn AB. Our assigned mission was short range air base defense. Our motto was "Night Hides Not", from its beginning as a searchlight battery in WWI.

During my two years at C Battery, I split time as a Platoon Leader for one of our two towed Vulcan platoons. These weapons can fire up to 3000 rounds per minute of 20mm ammunition.

In theory, Vulcans had a maximum effective range of 1KM. The reality was they were good at firing on fixed positions, and sending enough tracers to give enemy pilots a case of pucker factor.

A really good gunner might be a bit more effective, but I saw enough live fire training to be able to make an informed judgment about the Vulcan: it wasn't any good.

I'm not saying the old man did it, or didn't shoot down that Russian plane. Based on my experience, the odds of it happening are less than one in a million.

True.
Marshall Plan’s original Productivity Tours designer, Jim Silberman promoted the Marshall concept to work for post-Socialist countries. In 1994, Tennison adapted and titled it the Productivity Enhancement Program (PEP). I think the PEP program ended in February.

Tennison advocates for “peace” while repeatedly championing Russia’s dictator, Putin.

1- 2018, she wrote, Putin isn’t the problem. The problem is the projection of our ‘shadow’ on Putin and Russia.

2- I am deeply concerned about a NATO country being on Russia’s borders in Ukraine … As for Putin’s current dilemma, I’m sorry he felt he had to intervene in Ukraine.

If the Uke propaganda minister sees this, it's guaranteed to be recycled into his next press release. Hope you get a consultant's fee.

“I’m not saying the old man did it, or didn’t shoot down that Russian plane”

Just sahres the article, but my bet is on that the old man did shoot it! But, probably after aircraft was struck midair.

Here are two more interesting ‘shot-down’ Russian plane stories:

There’s a WW2 story about an American pilot that got a kill with his pistol after parachuting from his burning fighter when the Japanese pilot came around to finish him off, so who knows.

I heard the Golden BB philosophy too from three Air Force FAC guys when I drove the bn FAC track in 3/33 AR in Germany.

They said Army thinks “Big sky, little bullet, AF thinks, Golden BB”, lol.

Aren’t you ever embarrassed by posting such tripe?

Besides, I shot down an SU 34 with my slingshot. I think I’ll ship 100,000 slingshots to the UFA. My wunderwaffe will turn the tide and I, too, can become a Hero of the Ukraine.

Gotta run...the Ghost of Kiev is calling.

I have a few interesting books (online) I’ve found with a plethora of information of the USAAF in the SW pacific. I could send you a link or at least titles if interested.

One of the things I found out was how relatively badly the Engineer units were treated. Because they didn’t (well rarely they did fight, an AEB was fully equipped with all manner of light weapons including bazookas and HMGs for defense) fight directly in combat they were considered 2nd class to the needs of all combat units. So studies were done and they shows]ed the AEBs troops usually lost considerable weight (more than the rest) when they were sent to a combat theatre.

They got C-rats often, reduced rations often, worked 12 hour days in tropical heat, had malaria and other tropical diseases. Also every Army General of a combat unit in the area considered them fair game to give extra construction projects to. Later this got better as quite a row developed in the upper brass as General Arnold let MacArthur know how the AEBs were being pulled off their air base constriction and repair tasked to do anything from building roads, bridges and in one case even a port docking facility!

Now of course this isn’t to take away from the fighting men who often paid the ultimate price. And at the end of the day the engineer still got a nicely padded cot in a dry tent with plenty of clean water. Even if he was overworked, underfed and paid.

Thank you for this. Our forces rule: “Army thinks ‘Big sky, little bullet’, AF thinks, Golden BB”, LOL.

My father fought in the European theater in WWII as a Combat Engineer. Often times they would would be required to infiltrate enemy lines to secure beachheads on both side of a river -- suicide missions.

Then they had to build the bridges. All this before the front caught up with them, so the soldiers could use the bridges without waiting.

Invariably, the passing troops heaped insults and scorn upon the engineers as, "digging ditches while we fight the war".
