Met Pence once when he was a congressman and running for Governor of Indiana. So after he gave his canned speech he took questions from the audience. So a gal who was the clerk- treasurer of a small town in Pence’s district, and who he knew, asked him if he got elected as governor what could he do to help small communities who were being devastated the recently passed cap on local property taxes. As a former mayor of a small town in India I understood her concern so was quite interested to hear what the potential governor had to say. Never did answer the woman’s question. All I heard was Washington DC doublespeak and bullshit. Figured the guy was a phony. Was the. An even more now. Go away , Mike and never come back to Indiana you f*cking putz.
I’ve lately heard that book deals are just the politician’s way of accepting bribes and laundering the money, so I’m guessing he’s declaring himself open to be approached. If someone “buys” 50k copies and then suggests Pence run for office again, he’ll understand that he’s got a sponsor to gratify.
