Trump to rally support for Oz, Mastriano in Pennsylvania

Former President Trump will be headed back to Pennsylvania in September to hold a rally in support of gubernatorial candidate Doug Mastriano (R) and Senate hopeful Mehmet Oz (R) several months ahead of the midterms.

An advisory through Trump’s Save America PAC said Trump would hold a rally with Mastriano and Oz on Sept. 3 in eastern Wilkes-Barre, Pa. The advisory came at the same time that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) held an event organized by Turning Point Action in Pittsburgh in support of Mastriano.

“ Oz sucks and will lose.”

There’s that bullshit again.

Dismissive, diminutive crap.

I’ve studied the candidates. Oz was the best of the 3 choices, and he will win.

I know Braddock very well. My brother worked at the Edgar Thomson plant. And I still drive through the place now and again. It is a real mess. No way would I find myself there after dark.

Fetterman did nothing to improve Braddock. Well, maybe he improved its image. And that’s not saying much.

But here’s the thing. The rest of the state doesn’t know what you and I know. And the state GOP is doing nothing to fix that.

No it’s based on facts you choose not to hear.

OZ campaign spent more money in the primary than both parties combined spent in the last Senate General election.

For that ludicrous amount of spending, OZ wound up with 31% ish of the GOP primary vote.

He won the Philly area and the NJ border area and lost everywhere else.

You don’t win PA without winning the T big.. a Republican cannot win the Philly area… they can do better than average there but cannot win there. To win statewide you have to not only come out of Philly/Eastern region without getting completely swamped but must have high turnout and vote totals across the rest of the state to counter the Philly/Eastern pa deficits….

Every reputable poll done in this race show OZ down double digits.

All of the above are facts.. and those facts lead to this conclusion:

OZ has no path to victory.. he has no innate support in the state, no political base, and holds too many views that are firmly RINO and non starters with many rural voters. If he winds up losing by less than 5 it will be a miracle.

If he were running for some purple congressional district in eastern PA I’d say he’d have a strong shot at winning it, but in a statewide race as a Republican… not a snowballs chance in hell

Rightly or wrongly, they are the Republican candidates.

I registered my comments about Oz before the primary. No sense in bringing it again before the election.

People can make their own decisions. Just be vigilant for any FReepers that suggest voting for the Dems in these race, as that can be a suspension or banning offense on FR.

Folks here in FR who claim he’s not a serious candidate are deluding themselves. He is a presence in any room he enters

You are 100% correct. I met Fetterman once too and he's a very smart guy, smart enough to get himself elected Lieutenant Governor. And I've given similar warnings to Republican friends in my county to not judge him by how he looks or his tattoos and hoodie...that's the image he WANTS to project because it connects with rural small town Democrats and independents. He's a very dangerous candidate, and is going to win in November, despite his stroke, due to Oz's ridiculous non-campaign.

If they are not going to vote for Oz they are going to get Fetterman and the country is going to get another socialist to shove it over the edge.

I just booked a hotel September 3 about a mile away from Mohegan Sun Arena. I am driving 160 miles to go see the rally.

Keep your delusions….

Come find me on November 9th, and you can gloat about how wrong
I was or enjoy eating the humble pie of the reality you were served and refused to listen to it.

The race is already over… OZ is an abysmal candidate, completely off brand to win statewide as a Republican, even against a weak democrat..Let alone a very strong one..

Race hasn’t begun?! If you believe that you are beyond foolish.

OZ isn’t some unknown person, he has very high name recognition because of his years in the media, and in spite of that, he’s down double digits. This isn’t a case of once voters get to know him they will like him…. He spent 30 Million dollars on advertising through the primary to get 31% ish of the GOP primary vote… folks know who he is, and they don’t like him.

For nearly 6 months you couldn’t watch any tv in PA without seeing his ads… folks know who he is, and he’s a no sale… this isn’t going to change in the next 11 weeks. Again, he spent more money during his primary than BOTH candidates spent combined in the last senate general election. We aren’t in a place where no one knows who he is… folks are well aware of who he is, and they ain’t buying… I am sure the polls with close some in the next 11 weeks but there aren’t double digit percentage points of the electorate left who are going to vote for OZ… he’s a stillborn candidate.

If he ends up losing by 5 or less it will be a miracle…

Look me up on NOV 9 and tell me how wrong I was… and how right the floppy headed pundits who lied and fed a bunch of dupes and rubes the idiotic line that OZ was electable.

Well Oz’s platform lines up strong with the issues I care about. Even though I don’t much care for the man himself his positions are what they need to be. Further I think he’s a yes man so he’ll do whatever is needed to get done in congress what needs to be......and we need control of the Senate without a doubt.

How nice to hear a voice of reason.

I tried to sign up for tickets early this morning. They said they would text a code to my phone to complete the transaction. It never came. Did you get tickets?

I went through the registration process at Trump’s website but have not received tickets yet. The site gave me the following message “Thank you for confirming your RSVP. You will receive more information before the event.”
