ISTANBUL. Aug 19 (Interfax) - Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Friday he had reminded Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at their meeting in Ukraine about his readiness to arrange Zelensky's meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Turkey if that becomes possible, the TRT television channel said.
"Erdogan said upon his return from Ukraine he had reminded Zelensky of his readiness to host Zelensky-Putin talks," the channel said.
According to Erdogan, Turkey "will continue to promote a settlement of the Ukrainian crisis by means of diplomacy and talks."
Turkey is also ready to participate in Ukraine's recovery, Erdogan said.
It was reported on Thursday that Erdogan visited Ukraine and met with Zelensky and UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.
It is downhill from here on out for Putin and Russia, the longer the war goes on.
He is going to have to sweeten the deal, because neither the West nor the Ukraine will let him off the hook, before he pays a bitter price for what he has done.
And nothing is done about it here. That’s what is so outrageous.

Well I’d take Putin to deal with any day over Zelensky and his cohorts. ..... my gosh they’re power and revenue hungry not to mention they love the media attention even more because they’re all from the former entertainment industry in one form or another. Including Zelensky’s wife. .... So they all have that need for the spotlight....as we’ve certainly seen from the get go.
Actually they were the perfect group to put on the show we see daily when they were chosen by the real powers behind them. They’re like any other stage prop to keep the show going. Anyone who has done any research on this goups background and history knows exactly what they’re there for....and it’s not to lead the country - it’s to play their roles.
It is impossible to get a meaningful vote when large numbers of the area population have been shipped off to Russia, or fled to the west, and a brutal dictator is in charge of the area, and were likely told to declare independence, or else.
Russia seems to have done Zelensky a favor by killing or capturing much of the nazi militias in the east. Now he is moving on Crimea and the Russians there are fleeing like rabbits chased by wolves. I hope the Russian officials who went to Crimea hoping to pick up beach front property cheap are now eager to get out before they get bombed.
If you want to be a good Pooty Pal, at least get your facts straight. Putin stole Crimea in 2014, not 14 years ago, or are you a victim of the New Math? Any vote taken by people under occupation by a robber is invalid.
