Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., claimed this week that helping Ukraine fight off Russia is a “top priority” for both Democrats and Republicans.

“I think we all agree the most important thing going on in the world right now is the war in Ukraine,” McConnell said after being asked about the House’s $40 billion aid package for Ukraine.

McConell said he expects “substantial support” from his party for the package.

“We’re going to try to process it as soon as possible,” he added.

Sen. John Thune, R-S.D., the No. 2 GOP leader in the Senate, agreed and predicted “a big vote over here” for the bill.

They are our elected representatives. And in this case polls show that they are actually doing what most of their constituents want.

Not in favor of stripping the US Army’s artillery battalions of an essential weapon.

We have over 500. The Pentagon said we could give 100 without impacting our readiness.

Mitch must have a big investment over there. The bribery and laundry scheme does not just involve the Bidens.

That’s rich coming from a YouTube’er, but I’ll search the interwebs for a more suitable McConnell article for you. Hang tight.

Besides, it’s not like we are going to need artillery to fend off someone invading the US any time soon. (Not even the southern border).

We have those weapons primarily to fight wars elsewhere.

And I’m not for letting Russia get any stronger by taking other people’s territory. We support Ukraine in their fight now, or we fight a stronger Russia directly later on.

There is a small handful of posters here who seem to scour the internet in search of articles pimping Ukrainian propaganda. Don’t mistake the sheer volume of those posts for a volume of actual support on FR.

.
People are resistant to the Truth.

96 out of the 100 in the Senate don’t care if you eat dog food or if the teachers at your kid’s schools can’t read.

They don’t care how bad crime is or how many months you have to work to pay taxes.

Keep thinking they give a shitt, and see what happens.

Thanks, but don't do it for me... do it for the cause.

It’s almost the same posters cheering Putin on.

I think I see a lot more diversity in Ukraine supporters than Putin supporters. But I haven’t done an official count.

There was a show of hands thread that refutes that.

It’s true that many of us avoid the Ukraine threads, but the majority of Freepers do not believe it’s our war.
We are still listening to George Washington.
It’s the globalist’s war.
Some of you are listening to Joe Biden and the Bush League Republicans.
We are losing our country while you are worried about Ukraine.

I hold the following people responsible for this loon:

1. Every single Senate Republican who votes to keep this guy.

2. Every single Senate Republican who does not challenge this guy for Leader.

3. The people of Kentucky for sending this guy to screw the GOP voters nationwide.
