First thing I learned while watching The Tudors, if you are trying to take out the king, you better succeed. This judge will never rise above his present level.

My point exactly. However, they have ridden that bike so much in the last 6 years that it won’t work as well as in the past. In fact, it might actually work the opposite way from what they intend and further shine a light on their nefarious activities. Fewer people trust the Feds than ever before.

This guy is completely corrupt and is going to do NOTHING to hurt the FBI/DOJ or help Trump. Prediction: he’ll go along with whatever redactions the DOJ wants, which will be anything to make Trump look bad, and hide anything fishy the FBI tried to get away with.

The DOJ waited until Reinhart was the magistrate on duty before they submitted their warrant application, and he should have taken one look at it and realized that this unprecedented attempt by the part in power to use the criminal justice system to attack their political enemies was a hot potato. He should have bounced it to a district judge, but either through hubris or blackmail, he signed the warrent.

He’s in the DOJ’s pocket.

But team Trump gets to make the next move. It’s going to be played out in the court of public opinion, where it’s going to be difficult for the DOJ to control the narrative.

How convenient.

Just enough time to “put something together.”

They get the disrespect they deserve.

What are the specific grounds for recusal?

Looking for legal advice. The search warrant should have been left with the owner of the property to be searched. When the “judge” initially sealed the warrant, were all copies recovered?

If he was able to retain a copy of the search warrant, could President Trump release the contents of the search warrant hiimself?

If the answers is yes, I suspect the “judge” and his minions would allege that classified information was released and would then levy addition criminal charges.

What a disgusting travesty!!

Maybe not but he is sure raising a lot of hell way above his pay grade in plain sight. It all stinks as in rotten and crooked.

We're past all this. We saw the warrant and the receipt.

We want the affidavit that tells how they arrived at the search warrant.

We'll know more on the 25th.

The judge approved the release of the warrant.

This is back firing on a major scale though. My Aunt is an 82 year old life long democrat who is utterly outraged by them going through Melanies closet. It may not seem that extreme to men, but to women this is beyond extreme, just utterly shocking that they would do that so she has absolutely had it with Democrats. She hates Trump but Democrats are definitely harmed.

That’s fine, but what specific provision was violated? What are the facts?

https://usatribunemedia.com/news/usa/trumps-attorney-wants-to-know-why-judge-reinhart-recused-himself-from-clinton-lawsuit/

here it is:https://tennesseestar.com/2022/08/10/judge-who-authorized-mar-a-lago-search-previously-recused-self-from-trump-clinton-lawsuit/

.....The statute that the magistrate cited for his recusal states in part that a judge “shall disqualify himself in any proceeding in which his impartiality might reasonably be questioned” and then describes the various circumstances that could trigger such concerns.

They include “a personal bias or prejudice concerning a party, or personal knowledge of disputed evidentiary facts” or prior work as a lawyer for a party involved in the case....

...

“I generally ignore the President-elect’s tweets, but not this one,” Reinhart posted, according to the Daily Wire. “John Lewis arguably has done more to ‘make America great’ than any living citizen. Last August, I took my son to the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma so he could understand the kind of courage and sacrifice required to live in a democratic society. John Lewis embodies that spirit. Although I’ve never met him, he is one of my heroes.

“Thank you, Robert Reich, for saying what many of us feel, ‘John Lewis is the conscience of America. Donald Trump doesn’t have the moral stature to kiss John Lewis’s feet.’
