It does seem a little intimidating for the invading army to have your initial on all their vehicles.
I had my name etched on one of the Mars landing vehicles and my fear was that with my luck the lander would destroy one of the tiny Martian cities and when they studied the wreckage, the Martians would see my name and then devote Mars to building a weapon that could go to Earth and destroy that attacker.
